Everyone looked at the savior as she cradled Killian in her arms. No sound could be heard in the night. Not even the cries of Emma Swan. The ambulance arrives and takes Killian into the bus to rush him to hospital but everyone already knows his true fate. Snow holds her daughter tight wishing she could protect her from the heart ache and Emma holds back but no really feeling the warmth of her mother's touch.

She's numb, cold, emotionless and once again heartbroken. Snow quickly looks over and Regina in pleading eyes only to find Regina's back turned as she looks at the lake in front of them. Regina blinks back the tears that want to start because believe it or not she did care for the idiot she called captain Guy liner but she's also hurting from watching Emma lose he live in front of her.... A pain Regina knew all too well. Henry stands there in Robin's embrace hoping the strong man can shield him from anything; everything.

Emma looks around and sees the sad faces but instead feels enraged. "This is your fault!" She shouts. Everyone turns to see her yelling at her mother. "You-you let this happen!" Snow looks in disbelief. "You should have done something-anything!" Emma turns away and looks to Regina then she disappears in smoke. Snow afraid looks to Regina and Regina holds back her eye roll. They are circled is purple smoke smelling of Carmel apples and then appear in the hospital.

"She's here." Is all Regina says before she walks out the doors to and makes her way to her vault. Regina knows that Emma needs space and quite frankly feels sorry for her parents who will hover over her. She walks to her vault to find Roland and Robin's daughter asleep.

Emma stands in the hospital room just looking at his features trying to memorize every one. She hears knocking and sees her parents walk in giving sympathetic looks. She turns away and brushes his cheek. I'm sorry she chants in her head. Someone places a hand on her shoulder and she shivers. "We are so sorry Emma." Her father whispers. Emma says nothing and continues her gaze on her boyfriend. After almost all night of being at the hospital Emma is being forced to go home and she does.

She walks in the door of the home that she and Killian were to be newlyweds in and laugh and joke in. The house that Henry would adore being in. Maybe a house where his siblings would run around but the future is now nothing a dream. She walk up to her room and cries herself sleep.

Emma's been in her room for two days and her parents are worried and call over help. Regina arrives and makes her way to Emma room. "Emma dear, let me in." She hears the door click and walks into the room. Emma is staring at nothing but her fist is balled. "Emma I'm not going to say sorry because I know you don't want to her that or any hope speeches. You want the truth and I'm here to tell it to you. It is not your fault that he is gone, it's the darkness and what he did won't be in vain.

Emma it's going to hurt a lot and may take you a while to get over but in time you will one day it won't hurt so much." Emma sniffles and lets out a deep breath. "I know how did you know?" Regina sighs "I have been through down this too many times." Emma sighs and gets up with Regina to get started on letting go.

A week later Emma is standing up and Killian Jones' home going service making her speech. "It took me a while to come to terms with what's happened for a few reasons than I would like to admit but I just want to say that Killian Jones was my light, my laugh and joy. He was cocky, sneaky, annoying and incredibly dashing. He was my lover and will always be. I'm really gonna miss you pirate." With that she walked off the stage and sat back in her chair and with her speech the last one they lower him into the ground.

Emma picks up the shovel and throws dirt into the pit. One after one her family does the same as she did and with that they walk to Emma's house for the repast.

Four years later Emma is chasing after a bubbling little boy with dark hair and his father's eyes and nose. "Come here you silly goose!" She coos. Liam giggles and runs even faster. "Never Momma," He shouts. She grins and picks him spinning him around. "But I got you." She raises an eyebrow. He laughs and kisses her cheek. "How about we eat PB&J while we watch lion king?" He nods and off they go.

Today is Killian's Birthday and Emma has once again decided to spend it alone with her son. As they sit in her bed Liam questions "Momma where is daddy." Emma eyes widen as she remembers what Regina told her. She needs to let go and say it. No she can't she's not strong enough. "He's just away baby no worries." Liam happy with answer drifts off to sleep with his mommy.

"Emma let me go" he says. Emma looks to see herself in Killian's Jolly Rodger on the poop deck. "What?" Emma turns and sees Killian looking at her. "Swan, let me go." She runs into him with hug and shakes her head. "I can't; in afraid." Tears leak from her eyes. "It's always the hard part you know but you need to heal so let me go." Emma shakes with panic. "If I do you'll leave me for good." Killian chuckles, "Love, I can't leave you because I'm always with you. I'm in our son."

She looks with wide eyes and cries harder. "Let the words go." He says. Emma cries out in pain of her heart. "Say it love," Emma whimpers. "I'm what?" He inquires. "No." Emma fights. "Emma please! You need to say it to move on... I'm what?" Killian begs her with tears over flowing from her eye lids. "You're d- de- dea- dead." Emma shivers the word and starts crying tears coming harder and harder. "You left me and our son!" She cries into his warm embrace.

Killian wipes her eyes, kisses her head whispers "baby you did it... You said the words."

Emma shoots up from bed with tears pouring. Liam cuddled in the sheets she calls Regina and as so as Regina answers she says "Regina, I said the words." Regina sighs and replies "and it hurts doesn't it?" Emma chokes on a soft sob "yes and it's all real now." Regina lets out a breath and says quickly "I'm on my way."
