I walk through the halls quickly. Everyone at school now knows what happened. It wasn't fair why me? Not only does everyone know but they make fun of me for it. You do not make fun of someone in this situation. The worst thing out of it all was that my only friends are avoiding me. My three best friends and my boyfriend. Tyler, Will, Carter, and Jake. They all ignore me. The bell rings for lunch to start, which was also the warning for me to run.
I run to the gym and make it there safely before the demons can get to me. While I was walking up to the dance room I see the weight room doors open. I look inside and find two boys working out. I close the door partially and walk to the dance room. I change my clothes and plug up my phone.
This song by some kids on YouTube popped up. It was really good and I was in love with it. It was called Distance by two kids named Jack and Jack. They were really good.
I dance to it and try to forget about everything that is going on, but it doesn't work. I stop dancing and just sit on the ground. I let the tears drip from my tired, sore, and red eyes. I haven't gotten much sleep since the competition. Because of this I can't close my eyes without remembering what happened. It haunts me and I thought I had forgotten about it.
"Hey are you okay?" I hear someone ask after turning down my music. I look up and find two identical looking boys standing there. They look at me concerned.
"I would lie but no I'm not." I say and wipe my tears away. They both come in and sit down across from me.
"Would you want to talk to us about it?" One asks. I shrug.
"I don't know you guys at all." I say to them.
"Well I'm Ethan and this is my twin brother Grayson." Ethan says. I nod and look at them.
"If it helps we can tell you about ourselves first." Grayson suggests. I shrug. "Well Ethan and I have moved a lot because of how much we've gotten bullied. This is our third place this year. We've been living here for a few months now and still have no friends besides each other." Grayson tells me.
Wow that must be difficult for them.
"I'm Rylyn. I've moved once because of family reasons. I've had one friend since I was eight and I've made more this year, but now they all ignore me because they think I'm a freak." I say and sigh afterward.
"Rylyn...are you that girl they everyone is talking about?" Grayson asks.
"Dude. Shut up." Ethan growls at him.
"Yea I am."
"Well ignore them, they don't know the whole story." Ethan says to me. I nod.
"People can't know the whole story. If they do then I will have nothing left." I say to them. I stand up and go grab my phone. I slip my jeans on and take off the shirt I was wearing to slip on my grey sweater. I pull on my boots and put on my backpack and grab out my keys.
"Where are you going?" Ethan asks.
"Home." I say and unplug my phone.
"Wait...can you take us home too?" Grayson asks.
"Wouldn't your parents get mad?" I ask.
"Wouldn't yours?" Ethan responds back. I sigh.
"Fine, hurry though I don't want to get caught." I say. They both get up and run to the weight room. I shut everything off in the dance room and walk into the weight room. They both were putting on their shoes when I walk in.
"We're ready." Grayson says. I nod and have them follow me out to my truck. When we get there I find a note on my windshield I grab it and get in my truck. Ethan hops in shotgun and Grayson hops in the back.
