Don't Leave Me (Kai Fanfic)

Chapter 5.

I wake up finding myself still holding Jongin's hand. He had lied beside me and had his arm wrapped at my waist since I turn to the other side to sleep. 

I let go of his hand and turn around in his arms. "Do demons sleep?" I whispers and his eyes immediately open, he smiles. "No, I was just resting my eyes." 

"Why didn't you leave?" I ask him still resting. 

"Because the minute I would let go of your hand, your dreams started flooding back so I stayed." He explains in a nice raspy, morning voice.

I smile. "Thank you for staying." 

"Well I didn't do it for you, I did it for me so that I wouldn't have to deal with having to calm you down every time you would have a nightmare." 

I roll my eyes playfully at him. "Wow." I say laughing lightly and he does the same. 

"You remind me so much of her.." He mumbles looking at my eyes.

"Is that a bad thing?" I ask. "I don't know.." 

He sighs when he sees I'm confused. "She..she was my first love and my only love when I was..human. I then...I then killed her when I was a demon and I regret everything after that. I didn't mean to kill her, I just got so furious with her because we were fighting and after, I saw blood and then I saw her on the ground...I miss her so much." 

He sits up and has his face in his hands. I put my hand on his shoulder. "I'm sorry.." I tell him. 

"It's not your fault. It's just that once I'm done with you, that's it, everything is over and you won't see me again." 

"But..what if I don't want you to leave..?" I ask and he's a bit shocked. 

"It's my decision." He answers after a long time, biting his lip.

"I'm here for you." I assure him trying to put on a smile for him.

I getup after a while. Jongin is still deep in thought. I feel really bad for him, for losing his first love like that. After I brush my teeth and shower, I get back into the same clothes which are a tank top and some short shorts, feeling like staying in today. Luckily it's not a weekday.

After wards I get a text from Sehun. 

S: Can I come over?

K: Sure :)

I put my phone back on the kitchen counter and take a bagel in the toaster. I make a sandwich for Jongin knowing he'll steal my food if I don't make anything for him.

He gets up and walks into the kitchen right when I finish making his sand which.

I place it on a plate and put it right in front of him before he sits down. 

I go to put butter on my bagel and we talk as I do. "You didn't tell your friends about me right?" 

"I just said you're one of my new friends which is true I guess. We are friends right?" I ask and he nods as he enjoys the sandwich although demons don't eat, he seems to like it a lot.

"Yeah so that's all I said. I didn't say anything about you being a demon." I get my coffee and bring it over to eat by Jongin.

"Sehun is coming over soon.." I say scared that he'll act up, I sip my coffee.

"You said I wouldn't have to see them again."He tries to stay calm but I can tell he's really trying not to get mad.

"So I'm going to go out with him and you can do whatever you want other than trash the place but I don't think you'd do that." I say.

He looking down at his sandwich that he stops eating. "Why don't you like him?" I ask, wondering.

"I just don't." His eyes turn black from a second before he blinks again.

"I haven't seen him for a bit so I really want to just hang out with him okay? There's really nothing else for you to worry about." I assure him. 

I press my lips together, waiting for an answer but then the doorbell rings. 

I look at the door then back to Jongin once more. He has his teeth gritted. "Don't rage okay? You're better than that." I tell him before getting up to open the door. I tell Sehun to wait for a second.

I go to change quickly and leave. "I'll be back." I say hugging Jongin but he doesn't hug me back which kind of hurts.

"Okay, I'll see you later." I say hugging Sehun goodbye as he drops me off.

"Bye." He says with a small wave.

I unlock the door and the first thing that happens is Jongin slams me up against a wall. I head bangs on the wall and my mouth is wide open about to say ouch but nothing comes out.

I place my hand on my head. "What the hell Jongin!" I yell at him but then I see his eyes full black and his teeth sharp. 

After that story, I start to wonder if it may happen to me.

I become more vulnerable and give my dominance to Jongin. He hands are pressing against the wall by my arms and this time he's not playing around with me, he's full on angry and out of control. Please don't make my nightmares reality.

"Jongin..." I say shaky.

"You should've stayed Katherine." He growls at me.

"You know what?! I am so sick with you controlling me! I just want to live a good life for a few more days until you turn me bad alright? You're pretty much going to take my life in a few days and I can't control that so why can't you just let me have control of my life for just a few more days?! I-" I start to rant to him making him back up a little but he doesn't back up far enough until he comes back, pushing me up against the wall again but this time, his lips crash onto mine, making me stop my rant and release some of my anger about him.

I pull away from him. "What...what was that?" I ask softly. Why'd he kiss me? 

His eyes are black for a few more seconds until they turn back to a normal creamy brown colour. HIs teeth go back to normal as well.

Jongin backs up a bit and raise his hands to the back os his head.

"I-I...didn't mean to." What happened while I was gone?
