Don't Leave Me (Kai Fanfic)

Chapter 12.

I sit on one side of the booth with Sehun and Jongin sits with So yeon on the other side.

The whole time we eat, I'm quiet unless So yeon asks me a question or Sehun does. Jongin just glances over at me a few times to make sure I'm okay and continues to talk with mostly So yeon.

"Don't you think it's a little irresponsible for you to talk about being in heaven while someone who hasn't had any experience with supernatural beings is sitting with us?" I ask folding my arms and resting it on the desk. Sehun must be going crazy after her talking about things like this. He has been looking so confused this whole night.

She's been talking about upstairs and comparing it to downstairs saying how she felts horrible for Jongin to be downstairs for years while she had to watch from upstairs.

She stops eating. "Well..there is no rules against me talking about it, is there? Unless you've been upstairs I don't think you'd know about the rules." She argues back in a soft sweet voice but we know that it'd be full of yelling and screaming at each other by now. Since we're in a restaurant, we're not doing that but hell would I love to fight her.

The guys watch our little calm but still raging feud. "But you might have trouble when you get back upstairs eventually, who knows if you even may each upstairs again." 

"Katherine-" Jongin starts but I cut him off. Sehun knows to stay quiet when I have an emotionless to cold face on.

"What would you say you're relationship with Jongin is like?" I ask her focused only on her.

"Uh, I don't know. Good?" She says bit confused.

"No, I mean, friend, best friend." 

"He's my boyfriend." And that's when I turn my head to Jongin. His mouth his open for a minute then it turns into a pout shape. He looks from the two of us while Sehun is trying his best not the laugh as he sinks into his seat, covering his mouth with his fist.

"Did you even talk to her?!" I almost yell out to Jongin. 

"Actually, wait, don't answer that. What do you think of her?" I ask him, changing my question.

After a long while he starts with "..I-" And I get up to leave. 

If he takes a long time to even think about his answer, I can't deal with him. If he still has feelings for So yeon than I don't want to be in a mess of him and her. 

"Katherine, stop-" Jongin stands up but I push the doors open leaving before I can hear anymore. 

Sehun runs out to me. "What the hell is happening?!" He says frustrated but also still he says it in a calming voice so he doesn't get mad at me.

I breathe it makes a fog of warmth coming from my mouth in the cold brisk air. Sehun does the same as he looks at me but I don't look at him.

I don't answer him either. He sighs and takes off his jacket to put it over me and I cover myself with it. "What do you want to do?" He asks me knowing I'm done with this night with So yeon.

"Fight her." I growl.

He rolls his eyes. "Something else." 

I think. "I want bubble tea." He smiles. "Let's go."

"I swear, lately all you've been getting is chocolate." I laugh as he takes a sip of his chocolate bubble tea and smiles. "'Cause it tastes good, you try it." 

I take it and take a sip, I nod and give it back. It does tastes good. "Wait, I want more." I say before he can take it back and I put it to my lips again. He rolls his eyes playfully at me.

I laugh and actually give it back to him. It's a bit late so it's only us in the store other than the people working. We head out and of course it's cold and dark but we survive, walking. 

"Can you tell me what happened back there now?" He asks. 

I tell explain to him everything except for the supernatural part. I say that she's been gone a long time and when she finally comes back she thinks everything is left the way she left it before but she's clueless that things do change and she should ask about Jongin's life while she was gone because things did change and he's with me and not with her anymore. I also say that although Jongin loves me, I feel like he still loves her.

Sehun just nods, understanding as I talk. "So yeah, it's really bothering me, the both of them." I end my long explanation to him.

"Then why are do you like him?" He asks me.

"That's kind of hard to answer. How do you even explain why you love someone?" I say thinking really hard.

"Well why do you love Eun-ji and I?" He asks.

"You guys are always there for me when I'm down and when I'm happy. I can share anything with you guys. You're both very fun to be around and it makes it more comfortable for me to be open with you guys." I smile, thinking about my best friends. They always bring a smile to my face, even by just talking about them.

"Does he ever make you feel like that?" 

"He makes me feel...loved. Like I'm not alone when I'm at my worse. He makes me feels things I've never felt in a heartbeat." I say now easier to explain.

"You were suppose to not be able to answer the question again but okay." I laugh.

"What if that's just his personality?" 

"No, he doesn't act that way with you. Maybe something similar to Eun-ji but...I don't know. It's confusing."

"Okay well, if he acts that way with you, he's probably done much more with his ex-girlfriend." Sehun finishes his bubble tea and throws it into the trash can as we pass by it. True...what if it's not Jongin who can't let go of her but her not being able to let go of Jongin?

I ask him the question and he shrugs. "Can be, you just have to be real careful when you ask her or Kai that because you'll just sound more like a crazy short tempered girl than you already do to the two." 

I agree with him, I got really furious in there. We walk into my apartment and head to the elevators. 

"Now what floor do you live on..." Sehun thinks to himself out loud.

I stop sipping my bubble tea. "Are you serious Sehun?! 3 years!" I remind him how long I've been here.

He laughs and presses the right button. "I'm joking!" I roll my eyes at him and keep sipping my bubble tea. Right when the elevator doors are about to close, I see Jongin and So yeon walk into the apartment talking to one another, they both seem so happy talking to one another again. Maybe I wasn't meant to be in the picture...
