The Request

~Lucy pov~

It's been two weeks since my fight with Natsu and Lisanna. I been going on missions with Laxus and the Raijinshu on my free time. We finished a request of a haunted house that used someone's memories to trap them in an endless cycle of pain and suffering. So we had to go in and set those trapped free. At first I felt great power coming from inside but it turned out to be a little kid who was trapped in the darkness. It would seem hard but controlling a little kid towards the light is easier. At least for me. I was at the bar drinking a pink lemonade when Natsu decided to bug me again to fight. As always he tries to rush into it and catch me off guard. I don't look up or move and I take him out in one hit, no magic. Everyone starts laughing except Lisanna but I didn't care. Ever since joining my look and personality did change. No one would mess with me I was like a Mira and Erza combined but scarier and stronger.

"I'm so bored!" I whined, setting my head down

"No new missions, huh?" Mira asked

"No" I said

"I think Gramps put some new ones a while ago" Gray teased me

"Oh really, why didn't you say anything" I smacked his arm playfully

I stood up and looked for a mission but found nothing to my liking. So I went back to the bar and Gray teased me before I punched him for it. I guess I would just have to wait for anything interesting to happen or new request to come by.

~Laxus pov~

I had to come up with a plan to get Lucy by herself. Especially before the Match-Maker demon gets to her. I need a way to make Lucy be with me alone for a day or two. That should be enough of a start for her to like me, right. And that can keep her away from the 'She' devil. Maybe a mission would help one that's over night or longer and far away. The team already knew that I liked her. They found out by me staring at her and going into my own world of just us two. Bickslow and his babies would tease me, Evergreen would ask if we do end up together how many kids would we have and Freed would cry thinking I would leave them.

"Hey if Lucy asks to go on a mission say no. That you have something to do" I told my team

"Why?" Freed questioned, few tears in his eyes

"I want to tell her something and I want it to just be us"

"Are you sure you don't just want her so you can have some FUN" Ever teased a huge grin on her face

"He loooooovvveesss her" Bickslow rolled his tongue 'Loves her, Loves her' babies repeated

"T-That's not it... I just have to tell her s-something. So just say no" I was now annoyed

"Okay whatever you say lover-boy"

"Thank you Ever-... wait?"

I looked back at her with a glare to see her having fun and laughing.

~Nobody's pov~

Later that evening Master posted new job requests on the board. So, Laxus went to look for one before Lucy came back from her house. He found a job that needed a Celestial Mage. The job required the twelve golden keys and she has ten. It was said that they already had two of the golden keys. When Lucy came back she asked if there were new jobs so she asked the Raijinshu to join her. They told her they had other things to do and they were sorry. Laxus asked her to join her on a mission and she did. She told him to met up at the train station in an hour. On the train Laxus started to grow pale to the face due to motion sickness. Yes, Lucy was a Dragon Slayer more like Queen but she can handle it better than other's. It takes time to be able to handle transportation.

"Come over here" she motioned him over to her seat

"F-For what"

"Here lay your head on my lap it should help a bit"

Laxus did as he was told and rested his head on her soft lap. She ran her fingers through his soft spiky blond hair. He was happy but didn't show it. He was able to relax a bit thanks to her.

"Thanks Blondie... this helps"

"No problem I use to do this to Natsu before..." she went quiet

"Oi, you okay Blondie??" he asked

"Yeah, I'm fine just thinking. And your blond as well, how does that work out?"

"Yeah but it suits you better"

"Alright, get some rest we still have a long way there"

"True... one last thing?"

"What is it?"

"Do you like that flamebrain idiot"

"W-Well I thought I did... but now I'm not so sure"

"Well if I was him I would never hurt you. I would protect you no matter what"

Lucy smiled and blushed at his words. After a while he fell asleep with her fingers running through his hair. After a while sleep started to take over and she slept as well. Then one of the workers on the train woke Lucy up and told her they were almost to the next stop. Lucy woke Laxus up when they arrived in Clover. They went to a inn and asked for two rooms, they only had one with two beds. Lucy took the room and said it was fine nothing bad would happen, right.

She has finally arrived. I can tell Master and the plan will be set in motion.

~Laxus pov~

It seems that Blondie didn't mind sharing a room with me at all. I mean yeah the beds are separated and a curtain hangs in between them. This mission is going to take a while according to the request. So the 'She' demon can't force or bring Natsu closer to her. During this time I'll be getting closer to her. Once inside, I took a shower first and once I was done. I walked out with just a towel around my waist. I think she liked what she saw because she was staring.

"Like what you see, Blondie" I smirked

"N-No just hurry up. I wanna shower as well"

"Go ahead nobody's stopping you. Unless you want to stay here with me"

"Tch as if" she walked away

I changed, took a seat at the desk in the corner. I was reading the flier to see if I missed any details. She came out of the bathroom in a thin strap shirt and some short shorts. Damn she looked good. The shirt was a bit see through because her hair was wet and the water would slide down to her shirt. Yet, no matter what her right eye was still covered by her hair. I wonder why she hides it, what could be wrong with her right eye.

"So, what's the job Sparky?" she asked

"W-What?" I said, coming out of my thoughts

"I said what's the job sparky?"

"Who is Sparky"

"You of course, who else no one else is in the room"

"Well they need a Celestial who has 12 golden keys to help them open some sort of lock or gate on a chest. That's all I know so far"

"Are you serious, I only have ten of those golden keys!" she said, worried

"It's fine they say they already have the other two. They just need a Celestial to help them open it up"

"It seem easy. We will get more info in the morning from the mayor"
