Its been a little over a year since I miscarried and I'm finally at peace with it.  Arian fooled me and had me commit myself into a rehab facility.  Although I was upset at first, deep down I knew it was what I needed.  It was a long a rocky road but it help me immensely.

While I was in rehab Arian and his uncle engaged in what I call the new age mattanza (the slaughter).  People were dying from both sides and people couldn't be trusted. I didn't know the full details but I know for this to be going on this long it has to be something serious.  Arian's organization normally took care of business quick and swift but this war was ongoing.  This war was bringing unnecessary attention to the family and it was affecting all of us.

For instance I was not allowed to leave the house after nine which I found ridiculous and if  I did leave it had to be with at least four guards.  Even my restaurant had security all over. I never knew who they were because they blended in like everyday people.  And the only reason I knew this much was because someone from the other family tried to come in and kill some of Arian's men during lunch hour one day and one of my waiters went all James Bond.  There guns hidden in places I didn't even know about and this was my business.  I never knew anything cause the women in the life were never told anything.  The only way is if you got your hands dirty.  When I would demand an answer, Arian only reply was "the less you know the better.  You can't tell what you don't know."  This always confused me because I wasn't a girlfriend or a wife but Arian still wouldn't spill. He repeated the same mantra for so long that it embedded in my head.

"You may not be a girlfriend or a wife but you are the mother of my deceased child.  They'll get to me through you." That was bullshit and he knew it.  Using our dead child to control my life. None of the guys in the family would say more than two words to me with exception of Titan, my personal guard, my staff at the restaurant, Arian, and his uncle.  Apparently I was off limits because Arian said so.  Even though we were on better terms than before we still weren't together.  Our situation baffled me cause I couldn't have male contact but he had many liaisons.  There were women coming and going from his room and I had to watch it all.  A few times I even cried myself to sleep at his shenanigans.  Men....

I was at the grave site putting flowers on my child's grave and to have our little chat that I'd come accustomed to having when I came here. Even though I knew that my child couldn't respond it was comforting. It always help to put me at ease especially if I were stressed.

"I wish he could have lived." I was startled by Arian's intrusion.

"Yes but he's in a better place now."  I didn't think that you would remember today.

"Of course I would.  He was my son too."he said offended.

"I know he was I guess I'm surprised you came considering everything that's going on."

He nodded his head.  He walked up to the grave and placed a single white rose on the grave.  He eyed the grave for a moment then motioned for me to come to him.  When I squatted down to see what he wanted he grabbed my face in a tight grip.

"Arian stop you're hurting me."

"Did I tell you at any point that you could talk to Cameron?" He said staring daggers at me.

"No, but I really did need his help and I really don't appreciate you coming here tainting our son memory with this foolishness."  And I really don't need your permission. I said glaring dagger right back at him.

"Didn't I tell you to let Titan know whatever you need and it will get done?"

"Yes, but..."

"Yes but nothing.  I guess I'll just have to show and teach you how to obey orders."
