Skylar P.O.V
Once we are hidden up the stairs he turns around and folds his arms.
"What did you want to say?" he asks.
"My room is very chilly at night, and the blanket isn't helping," I said.
"Would you like to switch rooms with another girl?" he asked seeming annoyed.
"I tried that already, it's just as cold in the rooms," I said complaining.
You might be wondering what I'm doing and this is it. I need to get the keys to his office which are in his room, once in his office I get car keys in the middle of the night. In the morning when Carmon goes down to do laundry, she sneaks out the window and drives away for help.
"So what do you want me to do about it, turn up the temp?" he asks trying to be reasonable.
"Can't I just stay in your room with you? You seem warm," I said gently touching his arm. I said it in the voice I learned at the facility, it's very persuasive apparently.
He grabbed my arms and pushed me against the wall, I blew out a breath because he knocked the wind out of me.
"What are you trying to pull?" He asked in a low voice. His eyes glaring deep into mine.
"Nothing, I swear!" I express out of breath, him being this close is very intimidating.
He let go of my arms and grabbed my wrist. He practically dragged me to his room. He shoved me towards the bed and I reluctantly climbed up it. This is a lot scarier then I thought it was going to be. I thought he would just give me a ton of blankets and the floor or something.
I layed down on a side and climbed under the covers. I heard him but he wasn't on the bed yet.
He finally got on and climbed under the covers next to me. He wrapped his bare arms around my waist and pulled me towards his chest. I was surprised when I felt his warm chest against me. I wasn't lying about this house being cold. I really was cold all the time here. So this wasn't the worst feeling in the world.
"W-why am I so close?" I asked stuttering.
"I'm keeping you warm, that is why you wanted to stay, isn't it?" he asked, I could hear the grin in his voice.
I sighed, it will be hard to slip out of a gang leaders arms in the middle of the night without waking him up. And that wasn't something I was just guessing, I mean common sense.
I stared at his clock that currently read ten p.m.
I stayed awake between Derek's slow breathing and the clocks ticking. I could tell Derek was asleep because his grip was very loose.
It wasn't quite midnight yet but I decided to slightly shift to see what would happen.
He didn't move or anything. It did tickle me though. When I moved just a little his fingers would gently move along my stomach and I'm incredibly ticklish. This will be harder then I thought it would be.
I shifted away from his touch very slowly every couple minutes. Until finally at about twelve thirty I was off the bed completely.
I quietly went through his things and finally found his keys. They were in a very good hiding place. They were taped under his lamp. I guess they weren't hidden enough because I found them easily...okay that is a lie.
Don't even ask me how I found them because my clumsy self doesn't want to explain.
I shuffled to the door being as quiet as possible. I opened the door and looked back before closing it. Derek was still sleeping his arms out in front of him. He looked so peaceful asleep, he didn't look big and dangerous. He just had a kind face, his little snores filling the silence in the room. That sounds so cliché but it seems everyone is more innocent asleep.
