Chapter 20

"Dear Miss Skylar,

We have heard from sources that you are involved with two gangs and we would like to not only help you and the other girls there but we would also like to take down the secret training facility for baiting and the gangs in the process.

You may wonder who I mean by we, we are a secret bureau that investigates gangs and trafficking. I'm assuming you have many questions and I have many answers but for right now we ask for you to stay put and stay calm.

Someone will be in to send you clothes and some activities. We are very sorry for the way you woke, we had to make sure you didn't have wires nor weapons on you. You will be set free once everything is clear for you to leave safely. You are not in trouble nor are you in a danger, we are here to keep you safe.

I finished the letter with disgust, they are obviously lying, they may be a secret bureau, they might be another gang, for all I know this could be Simone messing with my mind. It's just appalling to think that they would even consider me to trust them. To put those girls in danger. I cant be sure who they really are so I cant be sure I can trust them. It's as simple as that.

The door opens revealing a man in a suit.

"Please follow me mam," he says motioning for me to go out the door.

I go out the door and go down the hall. There are a couple other rooms like mine. We get to the end of the hall and he motions for me to go right. I go and at the end of the hall there is a room. There aren't walls, just windows. It is a nice room, sort of like the business type ones you see in the movies where meetings are held. He opens the door for me and I follow along the wall of windows around the chairs.

"Please take a seat where you'd like," he said. I sit in just some random chair in the middle. He leaves, leaving me to think about what's going to happen. I think they are some secret agent type of people. I don't think Simone or an other gang for that matter would go this far to make it seem like they aren't a gang. This place is very professional.

I girl with black hair walks in with an armful of files. She sits across form me setting the files in front of her. She looks at me an smiles.

"Hello, I'm Rebecca Young. I know who you are but want to tell me anyway?"

"Skylar, just tell me why I'm here," I said trying to get her to get to the point.

"If you read my note you would know," she said still smiling. It was almost creepy how much she was smiling.

"I read it, I just don't know how you expect me to help you,"

"It's easy, you find your way back to the gang where the other girls are being kept. We will have a tracker on you and we will be there to being you guys home. Everything else you don't have to worry about. You and the other girls will be safe with your families and we will have this world a little safer."

"How does this tracker thing work you don't have to like inject it do you?" I ask worried.

"No no no, we will give you a bracelet. Once you are there press the golden heart and it will send us your coordinates." She pulls out a plastic bag containing a golden bracelet with a simple gold heart on it.

"Won't they be suspicious if I just show up with a pretty golden bracelet?" I ask holding it.

She smiles at me, "I guess you'll just have to figure it out."

I looked at her with my mouth gaping open, aren't these people supposed to be nice? I had no idea how I was supposed to even get back, I have no clue where I even am.

"We will drop you off by a stream, follow it and it should lead you all the way back to where we found you. Then we will reactivate that tracking chip the gang placed in you. Before you press that button make sure every member of that gang is in that house."

"Okay, I understand," I said, "just one problem, I had no clue where I was when you guys found me."

"I guess you'll just have to figure it out."

We still haven't found her. We had her location then she just disappeared. We're on our way to where the signal got blocked. She must be in a building of some sort that blocks the frequency. I have all of the men with me. Who knows what she got herself into.

We got to the coordinated of her last location but there isn't anything here. Just a stream and trees. I have everyone search the ground for secret doors. As I search through one of the bushes Ben calls out to me. I go to him hoping he found something. He is looking towards a tree, I go up and look to what he is looking at. It's Skylar's heels, they lay next to each other like she put them there neatly.

I know she was here but I don't know where she is now. I do know someone still has her though because there is no way she could block the frequency on her own. I got a message from Simone saying he let her go. I don't know where to look anymore, there isn't anything I can think of doing that would help find her. I don't even know who could possibly have her. I have too many enemies to single out one. That would waste too much time.

"Lets go back to the house, if the girls ask Skylar is back at the facility now," I say walking away.
