Chapter 10

Elliot's POV

*at the bonfire*
I waited patiently for Jenny to come in. I missed talking to her. The last couple days had been super awkward between us, that I almost wished I hadn't kissed her. Almost.

As she walked in, I caught my breath. She was wearing a black t-shirt and jeans with high-top sneakers. Just wearable a casual outfit, she looked adorable.

I waved her over. I knew I would have to go up for the famous "Apollo Cabin sing-a-long". She sat down next to me.

"Wow. You look great," I said. She blushed. I didn't know if this counted as a first date. I hoped so.

"Um. Don't you have the sing-a-long soon?" She inquired. I nodded.

"I just wanted to spent time with you," A said, wrapping my arm around her shoulders. She kissed my cheek and we both blushed, creating an awkward silence. Oh well.

The sing-a-long went great, if you were wondering.

*the next day*

Chiron came trotting out of the Big House, followed by a scared-looking 8-year-old (when I first wrote this I accidentally wrote "yeat" lol)

"Elliot, Jenny, do mind showing her around? This is Grace Jenkins," we nodded.

"Hi Grace! I'm Jenny. This is my friend, Elliot." Jenny said. She was basically being Dora. As a conclusion, she was good with kids. Grace started to giggle.

"What's so funny?" I asked. But just then she stopped laughing and stared over towards Thalia's tree. Some kind of monster that I had never seen before started walking towards us. It came through the barrier.

"What the Hades? Oh my gods!" Jenny said fearfully as she ran towards Chiron. She pointed to the strange monster. Chiron galloped to the Big House.

I approached this monster. It looked sort of dead. It's flesh was rotting and its clothes were tattered. I studied it, then stabbed it in the head as Jenny came up behind me

"The trick," I advised, "is to get the brains."

"Elliot? Is this really happening?"

"Yes. Yes it is. I really wish that it wasn't though. You know, Leo would be pretty helpful. He could just, you know, throw fireballs at the zombie's heads. That would be pretty cool."

She laughed. "But you know what's cooler? Nico can control the dead. We could have like an undead army."
