Waking up (at the start of the end of the world) tired was awful. It was so early, and I couldn't get any sleep last night thinking about my quest. I really didn't want to go on this thing. Seriously, I've never even fought before other than sword-fighting class. And I failed at that soooo...

To stay calm, I hummed to myself. I was an awful singer but not too bad at humming if I do say so myself. I hummed the lyrics to every Taylor Swift song, and before I knew it, the conch horn blared the start of a new day.

I grabbed my bag and got dressed before most of the campers and rushed outside. I was dying if tiredness but I wanted to see Elliot before me headed out for battle.

The crest. The crest I knew had to be Wildcat Mountain because it was the shortest mountain I knew of, only 3, 760'. I used to hike with my dad a lot when I was six until he stopped caring about me. Then I remembered my dream. Maybe he did care about me. Maybe they cared about me.

Everyone was supportive of us at the beginning of breakfast, and then it was silent. Great, makes me feel confident we would succeed. Leaving was the hardest part of the quest. Hopefully...
