The picture above is what Jolene looks like just imagine her with a sword instead of with a bow and arrows okay?Chapter 4
As Jolene and I jog down the lane, I explain "We got sucked into a wormhole that dumped us into Middle-Earth. So basically we got transported into the book The Hobbit.
Jolene frowns "So what does that mean for us? We have to live out this adventure before we can go home?"
"Um...I don't know maybe. What if we're stuck here forever and we can never go home?" I worry.
We stop jogging to catch our breath. I bite my lower lip. Jolene looks me straight in the eyes.
"Well we'll just ask Gandalf and figure something out when we're all at Bilbo's house."she dismisses.
She's always the one with a plan. I'm usually the one who just improvises.Jolene studies my face "You look different. Your hair is a lot longer and your cheeks bones look more defined" she observes.
"What? I don't feel any different. Can you take a picture of us together" I ask Jolene.
She nods and pulls her iphone 5 out of the waistband of her leggings. Jolene hugs me and we grin as she snaps a quick picture of us.
I stare at the picture that Jolene just took. My hair is definitely longer. It looks dead straight. It looks like I spent hours doing my hair.
My full bangs are now covering my crescent moon shaped scar that curves almost completely around my right eye.
My cheekbones, in fact, look more defined. I don't know any other way of describing my features except that they look elvish. I'm just glad my ears are not pointy like an elf's.
Jolene looks different too. Her hair is a shade lighter and longer. She looks just like an elf from Lothlorien with her golden blonde hair. Her height stays the same, as does mine.
We start jogging again only to notice a glowing blue symbol scrached into a hobbit's front door.
We walk up the steps to the hobbit hole and ring the doorbell. As we're waiting for Bilbo to answer the door, I quickly pull my hair into a Katniss Everdeen style braid. Jolene just does a regular fishtail braid.
Bilbo answers the door all flustered and asks "Can I help you two ladies". He stares and Jolene coughs awkwardly.
I smile shyly "May we please come in?" I ask politely.
"Oh um...yes. Please come in" Bilbo invites us in.
"Thank you" we say together, our Irish accents coming out more heavily than usual. We step inside.
Bilbo closes the door and offers "Would you like to me take your cloaks?"
"No we got it, but thank you though." I reply.
Bilbo smiles sheepishly at us "I was actually expecting you two ladies to be dwarves".
"That's alright Mr. Bilbo. My name is Ash and this is my cousin Jolene. Its nice to meet you" I reply.
"Gandalf actually sent us. He told us to tell you that he will be coming soon with a few more dwarves." Jolene informs Bilbo.
Bilbo nods and we hear crash from the kitchen.
"Excuse me ladies, i would very much like to know what those dwarves are doing to my dining room." Bilbo says walking away.
We take off our masks and stuff them into my backpack. The doorbell rings. Bilbo runs to the door and opens it, revealing two more dwarves.
