Disclaimer: I do not own The Hobbit or any of it's characters. Everything belongs to J.R.R. Tolkien and Peter Jackson. However, I do own Ashlynn and her story.

Picture above is of Mirkwood. Sorry it's so small I couldn't make it bigger.

Chapter 15

Recap: We begin to walk through the forest to the heart of the Elven Kingdom of Mirkwood

We walk for a few hours in a single file line. We have guards surrounding us to make sure that we don't try anything. I slow down a bit so I could wipe off the blood that was dripping into my eye.

A guard shoves me and growls "Keep moving".

I stumble and realize that it was the same arrogant dickhead guard that I judo flipped back in the clearing.

'I don't regret doing that'

I glare up at him from underneath my eyelashes, imagining what it would look like with his clothes on fire.

I'm seriously thinking of kicking this guard in the balls'

I mutter "Asshole." No doubt he can hear me with his Elvish hearing. I smirk in satisfaction of hearing him growl in frustration. The Elves lead us through the forest. I'm still hoping we get the Elven Kingdom soon because I'm sick of walking through this god-damned forest.

Jo snickers, but covers it up with a cough when the guard glares at her. We walk farther into the Elven Kingdom and another guard opens up prison cell doors. Every two dwarves get shoved into one cell. The Company start yelling and cursing at the Elves.

"This is not the end of it! Do you hear me!" yells Dwalin. In anger, he kicks at the bars of his cell that he's sharing with Balin.

Soon Thorin, Fili, Kili, Jo and I are the only ones left. Thorin gets dragged away by some of the guards. Most likely to see King Thranduil. Fili and Kili get shoved into a cell by Tauriel, but not before they start flirting with her.

"Aren't you going to search us?" Fili asks.

"Yeah, we could have anything down our trousers" adds Kili.

"Or nothing" sasses Tauriel. She slams the cell door shut in their faces and locks it.

"How dare they?! Well fuck. The only time I actually start falling for someone, they have go and screw it up'

I'm glad Tauriel turns them both down. Jo shoots Fili a hurt look and he looks confused on why. I give a death glare to Kili. He doesn't even notice. Tauriel puts Jo and I in a cell together and locks the door.

'Well at least they didn't separate us' I sigh sadly.

I sit down on the bench and my cousin hugs me. She buries her face in my shoulder and sobs quietly. I hug her back tightly.

"I thought he cared about me" sobs Jo, tears running down her face.

"I know so did I. Kili is the same" I mummer back. I don't cry over Kili. I'm not sure if I can cry anymore, I just don't. I haven't shed one tear since I was eleven. Not since I was at their funeral.

I hear the dwarves still kicking at the cell doors, trying to get out. They fail miserably. I hear Fili and Kili moving around the cell beside us. "Hey! Ash, are you okay? Did they hurt you?" yells Kili. When I don't respond, Fili yells "Hey Jo! Are you and your cousin alright?"

Neither of us answer. The brothers keep calling to us, but we just ignore them. Jo falls asleep on the bench with Kalayo beside her and her head in my lap. A shadow appears in front of our cell and says "You really should get that wound stitched up"
