Ash's POV------
My cousin and I notice yelling and a crown had gathered around someone. We push our way through to see the people turning against Alfrid.
"Hang him!" someone shouts.
"ENOUGH! Let him go and look around you!" Bard yells. He shoves his way through the parting crown. The people respect Bard enough to do what he tells them to do. "Have you not had enough of your share of death. Winter is upon us. We must look to our own. To the sick and helpless" Bard looks around at the people and orders "Those who can stand, tend to the wounded. Those who have strength, follow me."
"What then? What do we do then?" A random person calls out.
Bard stops for a second before replying "We find shelter." He walks away to help the others.
The people pause for a moment to take in what they have to do. The people begin to do the work that is much needed to be done. Jo and I push our way through the crowd towards Bard. Finally we reach him.
"Bard!" I yell as I grab Bard's shoulder. He turns around and stares at us.
"Rowena, Talia? How are you two alive? You two fell. I saw you" Bard asks, confused on how we're not dead yet.
We each give Bard a small mysterious smile. "Yes, we did fall. We fell into the lake. It's very hard to kill us. We're Spirit Binders actually" I reply.
"Yeah." Jo butts-in. "It takes more than a dragon to kill us."
"And our real names are Ash..." I say. I point to my cousin. She smiles sheepishly. "And Jo."
"We're sorry that we didn't tell you who we really we're before. We just needed to get across the lake" Jo apologizes.
Bard looks back and forth between us. "So you two aren't a princess and a bodyguard. And your names weren't your real names."
"Weeelll..." I say slowly. "Yes and no. I'm really supposed to be a queen and Jo's supposed to be the princess."
"Again, we're really sorry we lied to you. It's just we didn't know if we could trust you at first. Then we were going to tell you but we couldn't find a proper time to tell you." Jo explains. She puts on her puppy-dog eyes while I have an 'I am innocent' look on mine.
Bard sighs "Alright. I believe you." He starts to walk away but I grab his shoulder again.
"Wait! Do you know where the other Dwarves are? We need to find them." I ask, worriedly.
"They're over there with the two Elves." Bard nods to two Elves having a discussion beside a small group of Dwarves.
I follow Bard's gaze and I immediately spot Kili standing among the group of Dwarves. I then notice two Elves engaged in a deep conversation in their native language. I thought of sneaking up on Legolas and Tauriel and scaring the crap out of them but they would probably hear me with their super hearing.
"Thank you" Jo an I say in sync. Bard walks away to help his people. Jo and I walk...well in Jo's case limp, slowly over to the two groups and stop a few feet away from them. We wait to see who will be the first to notice us. Legolas looks up at the sound of our footsteps. Tauriel has her back to us. She turns around following Legolas' gaze when he breaks off their conversation.
