I could feel Evelynn’s warm and alcohol stenched breath tickle my face as we leant closer and closer together. I bit my lip and parted them expecting to feel her soft lips on mine but it never came.
I felt a pair of lips peck my cheek before twinkly laughter interrupted the thoughts running through my brain. I opened my eyes quickly and saw a laughing Evelynn in my direct sight.
I quickly wondered why she didn’t attach her lips to mine but then it came to me.
She didn’t want to ruin what we had; she wanted to keep playing how she was.
Then plenty of memories came to me in whom Evelynn had told me that she was never a careless drunk, she just went overly excitable and laughed a lot.
I wanted to kiss, of course I did but I’m glad she didn’t because it would wreck all the progress we had made and I didn’t want to lose her, not ever.
When I looked at Evelynn next, concern filled me because she had her hand over her mouth and had an unusual green tinge to her tanned skin.
I realised that she was going to vomit after drinking too much alcohol so my friendly instincts kicked in. I helped her up from her position on Niall's cream carpet and hurried her into his bathroom.
I leant her over the toilet and she threw up whilst I held her hair back from it getting covered in her own vomit.
As she gagged and puked, I held her hair with one hand and patter her back with the other and said that things were going to be OK numerous times.
When she had finished being sick, she propped her back against the toilet, put her head in her hands and cried. She felt upset because she had drunk herself into a state but had somehow not made the worst mistake she could make.
"I ruined everything again didn't I?" She sobbed, her once perfectly placed makeup now running down her face like a black waterfall.
I enveloped her into my body and stroked her hair whilst she cried into my white dress shirt, probably leaving permanent streaks. I told her many times that she hadn't ruined everything, she had just had what she thought was a good time.
I heard the drunken cheers from the other drunks as they played more and more rounds of Spin The Bottle. Evelynn just kept sobbing into my shirt, still regretting getting that drunk.
"Hey love, why don't you come back to mine and get some sleep and I'll drop you off at the cafe in the morning?" I suggested.
She lifted her head from my chest and sniffed a bit, wiping her eyes so she looked a bit less like a panda.
"If I'm not a problem." She said politely, not at all like her usual obnoxious self.
"Now, you never are. Not to me at least." I said with a slight chuckle.
She laughed slightly and attemped to push herself off the cold tiles but it seemed like she had minimal energy so she just fell back onto the cold tiles. Being helpful, I lifted her bridal style into my arms and carried her with no obvious problem.
She giggled and buried herself more into my chest. We exited the bathroom and came across the rest of the party-goers cheering on Louis and Alice who were now entwined in a passionate kiss. I rolled my eyes and picked up mine and Evelynn's phones where we had left them on the doorside table.
"Harry, where you goin' mate?" A drunken Zayn asked me as I opened the door.
"Home, you should too before you pass out. Get some sleep, we have album promotion tomorrow." I said to Zayn before exiting Niall's flat.
