Reapers

*Present day: 9/21/20- Adam's POV*
"What? Do you and Mason have history or something?" I ask. "No its not that." Emma responds. Alexis looks over with a face as if she knew Emma was lying but couldn't do anything about it. That made me suspicious. "Alright, so you haven't found another guy?" "No" she said back. "So explain to me why you always plan to have these little 'dates' with the winners of your little 'games,' huh?" "I don't know..." She said, looking down, regretfully. "Those games got one of my friends killed brutally!" I told her. "Who came up with this?!" I asked. "I don't remember..." She said, trying to act sad. "Alright then, so if you still love me after 4 years, even though everything around me tells me otherwise, kiss me." I said. She blushed, something Alexis probably hadn't seen before because she was squinting, trying to make sure she was seeing this right. "Ummm ok" she said. She reached and put her hand around my neck and pulled me. As our lips came closer, a window broke open. From it, an arrow was shot, which went straight between our lips and hit Alexis in the chest. Holy sh*t, that almost hit me. "What was that?!" I pull away from the kiss. I look to my left, Alexis bleeding, trying to get up with help from the chair with an arrow still inside her. I look to my right, there's a flying skull hovering in front of the window. Its not exactly a skull. It was a person, in a metal armor suit, with a skull helmet. Would've scared me off if I didn't have experience killing people. "Reapers!" She exclaimed. "What?" I asked, confused, although I knew that the person at the window was an enemy. "Adam, get the arrow out of her chest, i'll handle the reaper!" She said. As I slid over to Alexis under the table, Emma used her telekinesis to get a sword from a wall that was used as a decoration and then she threw it at the "reaper."  As the sword was about to hit his face, he caught it with his hand, inches away from his where his nose should be in the helmet. What? Is he not afraid of death?! I thought as he teleported over to me and Alexis.  I saw him up close, his eyes were black and had red, glowing irises. It was really scary, but I didn't have time to be scared. I took the arrow out of Alexis's chest, and I tried to shove it into the reaper's throat. He just pushed it to the side as if was nothing and punched me so hard I flew into the wall. He then grabbed the now unconscious Alexis and disappeared with her. "Damnit!" Yelled a frustrated Emma from across the dining room. "We have to get Mason." She said. With confusion and a hint of jealousy, i asked "what for?" "Only he knows the hideouts of the reapers." She explained. "Oh ok..." I muttered. "But wouldn't you be called a traitor?" I asked. "Yes, so we're doing this in secrecy." She told me.
*Two hours later at Mason's office*
"So what do you want from me?" He asked Emma. "They kidnapped Alexis." She said. "Damn..." He said. Alexis used to be Mason's crush before Nathan. "Yeah ok I'll help."
