"So...we're brothers?" He asked me. "I think so." I replied. Wait a second. "Follow me." I told him. I lead him to an open space in the abandoned park next to the doctor's lab. "Hey, I can absorb people's powers, so if you have my DNA then that means you can, too." I said. He looked at me like I was crazy, and then looked around the nature infested playground as if a reaper had heard us. "What do you mean?" He asked. "Focus all your energy into your hand." I guided him. "Then let go." He held up his hand and it shook, meaning he was tightening his muscles. "Harder!" I yelled. His face turned red and his veins popped up from his forehead. Then a small nuclear explosion burst from his hands, but it was hard enough to throw me and all the objects at the playground at fat speeds. I was lifted and swung over the nearest wall in the far corner, I hit the wall, breaking the entire cement piece in half. My back should've been broken, but somehow, it wasn't. My powers must've protected me or something. I guess Mason had always been so calm that he never realized he had powers, and how did he hide it from Mary? All those bottled up powers inside Mason's body had been bursting to come out, and they combined to make the most powerful one of all: Nuclear Bomb Radioactive Waste. Mason, after being silent for about 15 seconds from shock, regained his consciousness and ran to me. "Damn bro are you ok?" He asked, kneeling. That was the first time he called me bro in the last 4 years. Felt good, bit nostalgic. "Yeah i'm fine." I told him as I got up. He looked around as if he got this ominous chill down his spine. "Are you ok?" I asked him. "No, we should get back." He warned me. "Nah we have to practice controlling your powers, its too dangerous." I declined. "No i am serious lets get back." He said. "But why?" I asked him. The second I finished that sentence we heard Doctor Ruby scream loudly. We ran back to the lab and found it ransacked and Emma gone. The doctor was laying down on the floor holding his stomach, blood flowing and flowing out of the wound he apparently was covering. "Doctor!" I screamed. "What happened?!" I ran to him. "The transfusion went wrong...I accidentally cut Emma...and it left her weak. The Reapers came, and took her..." He explained. Damn it it's my fault... "Where did they go? I asked. "I don't know, but *coughs* Emma told me about your father, look for him...and he'll tell you..." And he died. Fuck. "Let's go." I told Mason with fury burning inside me.
