Chapter 2: Red Blood

" But professor wouldn't that attack leave you wide open," one of my students points out a near flaw," if you pay attention I was about to point that out myself and show you how to correct it," I call to him, I bring my arms back to a defensive position." Now Ms. Xiao Long I want you to try and disable me by grabbing my arm and twisting it around to my back, a rookie technique but effective," Yang goes for the move but when she grabs my wrist I twist around her and pin her arm while she's still holding my wrist." Now for every action on the battlefield there is the same reaction by the enemy, when one controls the battlefield, there is surely an enemy who can balance it out," I explain and release Yang. "Now, when I twist around you Yang don't hesitate to flip me over your shoulder," Yang grabs my wrist again, I flip around, she flips me over her shoulder, but I grab her and slam her down on the ground using her own momentum." But professor you've trained longer than Yang, isn't this a display of unequal power levels," I chuckle and nod a little," OK I want team Jnpr and the rest of team Rwby to come down here," I grab my twin Truncheons from a table nearby, as soon as they pull their weapons I activate Knowledge and predicted their move up to 10 moves ahead of time. The first strike comes from Pyrrha Nikos, I quickly dodge it and launch her back at Jaune Arc, who falls to the ground after catching her. Black tries to blindside me but I step out of the way, causing her attack to hit Yang Xiao Long, Blake quickly goes for a side strike but I block it, grab her wrist and send her tumbling towards Weiss Schnee. Ruby was next in the attack, swinging downward, but I side step and grab the blade, pull it forward and send Ruby flying backwards in Lie Ren. Nora Valkyrie fires a grenade my way, I catch it and throw it at Jaune and Pyrrha, who had finally gotten back up. They all try to rush me but, one after I send their attacks against one another. The only ones standing after the assault are Yang, and Nora. I activate the Lightning Dust, in my weapons and strike Nora, she absorbs it and sends a hammer strike my way, I dodge it and it hits Yang, knocking her out. Nora then fires more grenades my way, while dodge most of them I catch two of them and send them Nora's way, they hit and knock her out. I sit down and catch my breath and check my pulse, 125, decent. I shake both teams awake and then notice a smiling Ozpin." They're good Ozpin, for children," I say his way and then end the class. "They weren't fight to survive though," Ozpin retorts as I pass him. When I make sure nobody's around I let out a bone sick cough, I cough out blood onto my hand, I pass out and only faintly notice my body being moved.

" why does my mouth taste like cotton," I ask as I wake up, a group of nurses rush to me and help me sit up." You're lucky to be alive, you had dust in your blood stream," I hear a doctor say, flipping through a couple of papers." How long it was in there I can't say but it was long enough to cause your blood to accept it and then reject it," he explains." You have been in a coma for a decent two weeks, we were about to let you go," he adds sheepishly. A nurse opens the room's door and let's in Blake Belladonna." It was this Young lady that found you and brought you here," I thank her and try to get out of bed but the doctor pushes me back down," You're in no condition to leave," I flip over to the other side of the bed and get out, struggling I try to walk over to Blake I fall and Blake catches me. I let her walk me over to the bed." You'll need to be here for a couple of days, before we can release you," I nod in response," Ma'am if you could stay and talk with him while we prepare his meal," a nurse asked Blake, who nods and takes a seat." Anything you'd like to talk about," I ask her, she thinks for a little," what's your favorite book," I grin," The Journey of Two souls." We spend the next twenty minutes talking about books, movies, and the latest gossip," here's your food sir," a nurse brings a tray of assorted food, i offer the jello cup to Blake you takes it happily," Do you know how the dust got in your blood," Blake asks me. I turn my head sheepishly and nod," I was being stupid a month ago before I came to Beacon and I got deep into drugs, a brutal assassination technique is to inject a target with dust," my cheeks glow red and Blake nods," you'd see happen in the White Fang all the time, but I've never seen you around the White Fang, though you wear a black Grimm mask," I nod," I work for another group, the black mask was the rank I was, the rank was often called the Grimm Reaper, though I earned it's less common name," " Guilty Rose," Blake finished my sentence," that's all behind me now though, as soon as I turn in the mask to the master I'm free, but also a target," I start eating my meal, after a few moments though I was finished with it." You shouldn't eat that fast," I shrug," how old are you," the question hit me harder than Yang's fist. I stare thinking for a moment," 23, 24, one of those two, see I started working as a pickpocket for the guild when I was 10, at the age of 12 they saw my potential and the master had me training after the ceremony, when I was 13 I had my first contract, that was when I inherited the Bloody Thorn, then it's kind of basic for about 10 years," Blake looks at me with an intentful look, I lean over and tug off her black bow," there better," Blake blushes and looks away.
