I walk into my office and sit down at my desk. I look through paperwork. After five hours of paperwork, I was left mentally tired. My scroll rings and I answer it. "Who is it," I ask. "Its Qrow, we have a problem, ... I'll send you the location," Qrow said. "I'll take care of it," I tell him. I head out to the airship and head to the location.
POV change, Emerald.
I see Erebus's airship land outside our safehouse. I rush inside. "What's the matter, you look like you've seen a ghost," Mercury laughs. "It's Erebus, what do we do, Cinder's not here," I pant out. "Keep him distracted, I'll run and get Cider," Mercury says as he jumps up and runs out the back entrance. I go back outside. I hide and watch for Erebus. I see him a good distance away. I activate my semblance. I search Erebus's mind for his emotional weakness. I find it.
POV change, Erebus.
I walk on the path and feel a little light headed before seeing someone in front of me. It was my mother. "You're dead, how are you here," I ask her. She gives me a warm smile, "Erebus, its been such a long time, how are you sweety," she asks me in her usual concerned tone. I breath easily and step closer to her, looking at each different part of her face. I wrap my arms around her and rest my head on her shoulder. "There, there, it's going to be alright dear," she said as she stroked my hair. I stayed there motionless as my mother stroked my hair. "You've grown to be such a strong person, Erebus," my mother coos. Then it struck me. My name became Erebus after my mother died, why would she call me that. I push my mother away, pull out my Knife, and stab the thing pretending to be my Mother. "Damn it," I hear a whisper from behind a tree. I take out 'Clockwork' and approach the tree. "Step out Emerald, I know you're there," I commanded. Emerald steps out of hiding. Before she has time to react I plunge 'Clockwork' deep into the tree impaling the real Emerald in the leg. "Fuck you Erebus, you could have joined us, and lived," she screams at me. I pull out Clockwork and go over to Emerald. "Kill me already, isn't that why you are here," she asks. I shake my head. I pull out an first aid kit. "Don't touch me!" She shouts as I try to help. "Listen Emerald, I'm not here for you, Qrow told me about someone near here that might be able to help me, so sit still, or I'll knock you out." She calms down and let's me help. I sterilize the wound, it was painful but Emerald had something to bite on. The leg was little more than a stump now. I but bandages over the wound and put a Tourniquet on her leg to stop the bleeding. I pick her up and hold her bridal style. "Where's your safe house," I ask her. She lazily points in its direction. I follow her pointing and come across a cabin. I open the door and set Emerald down on one of the three beds. I try to leave but Emerald grabbed my hand in her sleep. "Quite the Ladies man," I hear Mercury in the door way. "You two aren't targets, but I ask that you don't attack me either, Emerald lost her leg for it," I tell him. "Consider me neutral, though I've got some questions for you," he asks me. At this point Emerald had let go of my hand so I sat down at the table with Mercury. "We've heard how dangerous you are from Cinder, though Torchwick said you were more dangerous to the two of them than us, why is that," his question was deep. "I used to work with both of them, as a contract Killer, but Cinder had an allure to her, I couldn't stop myself from getting close to her, anything else," I was tired myself, seeing as it was late. "Yeah, Torchwick told me about some of your achievements as an assassin, did you really take on 500 contracts in a year," he asked jealously. I nod and he laughs. "If you wanna take the other bed, Cinder won't be here until late tomorrow," he offers. I stans up and stumble heavily. I walk over to the third bed and fell into it, I was too exhausted to have a nightmare.
I woke up with an hand on my arm. "I knew you'd change your mind Erebus," I hear Cinder's voice. "What you did to Emerald is regrettable but it is forgiven," she slides her hand down my back. A chill shoots down my spine. I get up quickly. "What's the matter," Cinder looks at me with woeful eyes. "I'm not here to join you, I only needed rest, goodbye," I rush out the door.
I run until I think I'm safe. I pull out an arm band with my new Symbol on it. (Refer to above) I put the arm band on.
I walk back into our safehouse. "Erebus, you took care of our problem," Qrow says as I sit down. I nod and rub my hand across my face. "What's dragging you down," Jaune asks. "Bit late for you to be up Jaune, its 12:39," I say in a more than tired tone. "Its nothing you need to be worried about, alright Kiddo?" Qrow asks Jaune. Jaune nods and goes back to bed. "So what does have you down?" Qrow turns the question on me. "I need to learn how to better control the other souls that have attached to me, but I'm worried about more about Piper, is she doing OK?" I ask Qrow, wringing my hands as I spoke. "Its taken a lot out of her, but it you that she could use, she so great with keeping the kids on their toes, she'll be a great mother." He looks over to me and places a hand on my shoulder. I nod and he stands up. I find Piper asleep in her own bed. I crawl in beside her and wrap my arms around her. She shifts and wraps her legs around my waist. I grin and lay my head on her neck and fall asleep.
I wake up in the morning to Ruby shaking my shoulder. "What?" I ask, half asleep. "Come on wake up!" Ruby shouts. I roll out of bed, still clothed, and head to the table. "Ironwood wants to see you Erebus, said he had something for you." Qrow spoke in between gulps of his morning booze. "I'll go see him as soon as I recuperate from my last mission." I tell him, I slam my head into the table. "What were you doing for Qrow, Erebus?" Ren asks. Qrow nods his head. "I had to see someone about my condition, I currently have 100 souls residing in my body, this has caused my body to push itself beyond comfort, the upside to this is that I can borrow Semblances and Aura energy from the other souls." I finish. I pull out my new armband. Jaune looks at it puzzled. "It's a Glyph used in ancient times, it puts a restriction on how much Aura I can Chanel at a time, so until my body gets used to having this much power, it will have to be restricted." I tell him.
