RWBY: Erebus.

Chapter 3: Victory or Deafeat.

It's been a week since Blake and the others took on that giant mech. I wake up to a rude alarm clock and I look at the date, Saturday. I use my scroll to contact, Team Rwby, to congratulate them. I get dressed and met them at the courtyard. I contact Junior and set up a party, I lead them to The Club, but when I get there the guards close the door, I pry it open and look at Junior," what gives," he points at Yang, I shrug , walk over to him and hand him the lien. I call my friends over as well to up the guest total, after a dull hour or so everything got set in motion," Hey you should sing something," I hear Piper yell at me, I agree but only because she'd blackmail me if I didn't. I go up to the DJ and tell him the song's acoustics, I talk a mic and head down to the center of the dance floor. After getting everyone's attention I start singing Mirror Mirror. I saw everyone's face as I moved about and sung the song, one word to describe it was Understanding, I go on to sing From Shadows, with Blake along with me. After the end of that one I get challenged to sing Rap God, which I do Flawlessly. After another hour or so the doors crash open, atlas Robots storm in and Ironwood walks through the Rubble." I heard there was a notorious Assassin here, show yourself," I walk up to Ironwood, with booze on my breath and ask, " all of these are robots," he nodded and looks at me, I pull several throwing knives from my Jacket and disable the bots with one knife each; and in the confusion I quickly knockout Ironwood. I bind his arms and legs, I drag his body all the way back to Beacon with team Rwby and Jnpr on my heels. After taking the airship, I head straight to Ozpin's office, I open the door to find Goodwitch blushing with her usually fully buttoned shirt, unbuttoned a quarter way down, pushing thoughts out of my mind, I throw Ironwood towards Ozpin's desk and I give him a swift kick to wake him up. After telling them what happened, I untied Ironwood, and leave the room, I call Junior and tell him I'll pay for the damages. I walk back home and find Piper sitting at the table fully focused on my entry. I cock an eyebrow and pull out the bottle of Atlas Scotch from the wine Rack. I pull out two glasses, sit down, I give Piper a glass and pour what's left into both glasses. We talk about when we had contracts together and when we used to fancy each other, but that was the alcohol talking. I end up sleeping on a futon while Piper slept on my bed. Sunday morning, I awake and start breakfast, Daniel along with Samuel and William walk in without knocking. Daniel gives me a nudge to the side, chasing me to spill batter over the frying pan, I smooth out the batter and serve a rather large pancake to our Samurai, Samuel. He grins like a retard at the pancake, I think back to when we were kids, they were two years ahead of me in training and usually kept their distance but after awhile they warmed up to me and help me with my practice and studies. After finishing a couple of pancakes I serve the food and pull out a large jar of Red Sap. I start to fry some bacon, which woke Piper up, she frowned at the sight of the others but smiled at the bacon. I serve them all a side of bacon and eat with them, if you looked at us through a window you'd think we're a close family, which I enjoyed that idea.

The Vytal Festival, full of culture and life, but my favorite has to be the tournament. Full of warriors from everywhere, fighting. I exhale happily, I head to the signup booth and register for every match type as a solo contestant. I make a noise similar to Ruby's small laughter and get ready for the tournament. Combat armour made from paladin armour, 50 throwing knives, two dual Tanto blades, Bloody Thorn, my copy of Crescent Rose, dual truncheons, and my Ember Nocta, I hide all this all by wearing a duster. I head into the arena for my first fight, a one on four battle. After I get to the center my opponents walk onto the field, a team of pyrotechnics, easy. I hear the Announcers, Oobleck and Port, give exposition of the combatants. The pyrotechnics team are year 4 students from Atlas. The stage is double forest, I shift my duster and pull out Bloody Thorn, my opponents laugh and start launching rockets my way, I dodge the projectiles and get close to the team. With one strike I knock them all out of the arena," Lightweights," I yell at them. I exit the arena and head to the fair grounds. I find a food booth and start eating. I hear Ruby shout my name, I look over to find Ruby and her team walking my way. They sit down and I order them food. "Where have you been, there was a dance,and a massive Grimm invasion," Ruby fills me in," Vacuo, training," I tell them with a somber face. After finishing my meal, I leave and head to my next match. I enter the arena and it's another one vs four. This time, I'm up against a Vacuo team, they were second year students, acrobatic fighting styles, as each one tries to take me on, it's apparent they have had little team practices, after knocking them out of the ring one by one, I leave the arena. I don't watch the other matches, simply because I don't find them interesting. I see team Rwby exit the arena and team Jnpr enter, I shrug and make sure that my gear was ready. I overhear some groaning sounds and decided to catch it out, a Faunus was hurt pretty badly. I pick her up and head over to the medical tent, after making sure she's tended to I leave for my next match. I enter the arena to see two opponents standing in the middle, Knight styled combatants from Mistral. I ready Bloody Thorn and wait for the buzzer to sound, after the buzzer stops I rush in and knock them out with a powerful combo. I exit with the crowd cheering me on. I come out to see the Faunus girl I saved at the exit waiting for me, I get her some food and talk with her to help her ease the pain. I see a couple of students bullying another Faunus, I get up and rush over to them," What do you think you're doing," I ask them," having fun, duh," the leader says, that gets a laugh from the others," What school do you belong to," I ask them," Atlas, why," I put the Leader into a arm hold and lead him over to Ironwood near a weapons booth, I tell him about this student's behavior and leave him with Ironwood. I head to a bar and order an alcoholic beverage, I finish the tankard in one go. I sober up before my next match. I get to the arena and fight a couple more one sided matches. I finally make it to the semi finales. But semi finales are a week away. I spend the afternoon practicing. I see different people gather around my practice session. I start slowing down due to fatigue from practicing for a straight 8 hours. I look around and find its night. I find a food stall and order food. After getting halfway through my meal, I'm called for over the P.A. for an exhibition match. I walk to the arena and see who my opponents are, it's two teams, Rwby and Jnpr. I walk into the arena and take a bow to both teams. I laugh loudly, I throw off my duster to reveal my gear. I see a team come from behind me, team SSSN." Alright this is a Four on four on four on one match, so buckle up as Professor Erebus from Beacon takes on Team Rwby from Beacon, team Jnpr from Beacon and team SSSN from Haven. This is an exhibition match so their rankings will not be affected so without further adoo. Let the fight begin". The arena is mountain and desert. Team Rwby charges at team Sssn, leaving team Jnpr rushing at me. I rush to the mountain, I climb it and start sniping team Sssn and team Rwby. I manage to hit Ruby and Scarlet. I see Yang look at me and she starts running for the mountain. I decided to meet her in the middle. I laugh and activate Ember Nocta. She starts swinging, after each punch I dodge, I jab softly at Yang's stomach, after a couple of minutes, this routine pisses Yang off and her her hair starts to burn gold,"Why are you toying with me," she yells, I simply shrug. I grab her and rush her to the edge of the arena. When she breaks my hold, I give her a quick but powerful punch to the stomach, she curls and I start a kickboxing combo on her. After the end of the combo I knock her out of the ring. I rush back to the main fight to see Scarlet and Ruby trying to fight off the tranquilizer darts. They both turn on me. I frown and pull out my new copy of Crescent Rose, Nova Nit, and swing it. Ruby blocks and Scarlet swings but I block it and push him into Ruby. With the distraction I swing Nova Nit again and knock Scarlet's Aura to red. I put away Nova Nit and pull out Bloody Thorn. I swing at Ruby with full force, she blocks and tries to push the spear away but I swing around and strike her with the back end of Thorn. She recovers and swings her scythe at me, I block and swing Thorn at her side, she counters with a back slice but I move out of the way. I start to swing but Sun sneaks up and distracts Ruby. I charge a powerful swing and knock them both out of the ring. I focus on the rest of the opponents. Nora, Ren, Weiss and Blake were the only ones left. All four of the start to charge at me. I equip my dual Truncheons and coat them in lightning dust and charge at Nora and Ren. After several hits and misses, Ren's Aura drops to red, Blake and Weiss retreated to a safe distance. I face Nora and hit her with the lightning dust, I know she'll absorb it but I want her at full power. After she takes a couple of hits with the lightning dust, she swings at me with full force, I block it, confusing Nora for enough time for me to hit her with another strike but this time with a mixture of Fire and Ice dusts. The conflicting forces knock her out of the Ring. I turn to Weiss and Blake, I put away my Truncheons and pull out my Dual Tantos. I quickly attack Weiss and keep her from counter attacking, I push her to the edge of the desert side of the ring and use a spin kick to knock her out of the ring. I dodge a strike from behind from Blake and swing around to face her. After what seemed like an hour I stop messing around and throw her out of the arena.
