Chapter 9 (Missing Sensations)

Hey guys this is chapter 9. I have been busy cleaning and reorganizing my entire room yesterday and today so I'm sorry if this chapter sucks.

Luca's Point of View

I looked at the mess of a boy that was in the fetal position with puffy, red eyes and cheeks. I honestly felt sorry for him because he looked like shit. When I met his eyes something in my gut twisted at the sight, it looked like his entire world had fallen from under his feet with no warning. His face was covered in tears and he couldn't stop hiccuping. "You..?" he said and this only confirmed that this was the boy who brought me to the hospital.

"Jacob!?" I whispered to myself because I couldn't believe the turn of events for me and this boy. He must have heard me because he said "yeah, why are you here?" "Well I'm here to get you to stop" I replied with as calm a voice that the hurricane would allow. "What are you talking about? I'm just sitting here crying waiting for the enforcers to come put me out of my misery." he said with a confused look.

What!? He really didn't know that we were in the middle of a hurricane that he made! He returned to crying into his hands as I tried to keep myself from being pulled into the storm. I then froze my feet to the ground so that I could focus on calming this boy down. "Jacob I need you to look at me!" I yelled at him which only made him sink further into himself and cry harder.

I need to get him to calm down or the brotherhood is going to start dropping bombs on us! "Look I'm sorry I yelled at you but I really need you to look at me!" I said hoping that he will listen to me. He shook his head as he mumbled "Why? I don't deserve to have anyone be nice to me after all I did today" was all I heard as he stayed in the fetal position. Well talking to him isn't going to work so I reached out and grabbed his shoulder once more and roughly turned him around to face me.

He tensed up and flinched when he was turned and had his eyes shut as tight as possible. "Please don't torture me! I'm sorry for what I did, I really am, but if your going to kill me please just make it quick!" he pleaded and sobbed out while still refusing to look at me. "I know I don't have any right to ask things of you but please let me die quickly, I deserve it!" he whispered this to me and this caused me to feel even more sorry for this boy.

"I'm not going to hurt you, I never will." I said this with genuine care in my voice and was surprised but happy with what it caused. Jacob looked up at me with fear and doubt on his face clear as day. "Why? You should want me dead for what I did to you and everyone else! I know the rest of the world will." I just shook my head at him "no one deserves to die until they have a chance to prove themselves." He just cried harder and pulled himself out of my grasp to put his head in his hands.

I went over and tried to get him to look at me again but was met with a rough shrug. "NO! I WANT TO DIE BECAUSE I PUT YOU IN THE HOSPITAL AND CAUSED TWO PEOPLE TO D-DIE!" he yelled at me. This caused me to snap, no one should have that low of an opinion of themself. I grabbed his face with both my hands and forced him to look me dead on the eye "NOW LISTEN TO ME! YOU ARE NOT A HORRIBLE PERSON!! TWO PEOPLE MAY HAVE DIED BUT THAT DOES NOT MEAN YOU DESERVE TO!" I growled/yelled into his face.

This caused something to flicker behind his eyes and it looked like it was good. Though the next thing that happened caused me to think otherwise, he started crying again. I was going to try and get him to stop the hurricane but before I could speak the worst thing that could have happened to me did, he clenched onto my jacket so tight it was like he was hanging on for dear life ad pulled me into a bone-crushing hug! I haven't hugged anyone since I held the person most important in my life in my arms before they left me forever. The memories flooded back and I couldn't hold back my own tears anymore so I hugged him back and cried on his shoulder just like he was doing with me.

A couple moments passed before I gained control again and looked down to see that he was shivering, oops that's my fault. "I'm sorry Jacob for everything that has happened to you today but I promise nobody will hurt you for as long as I am around" I told him while staring into his deep blue eyes. He replied with a nod and then looked around. "What's going on? I thought I was at the park?" he asked so innocently. Shit!! I forgot that we were still in the middle of the hurricane! "Yeah you are but you sort of made a hurricane while you were crying so I need you to stop it" I said shyly while looking around us.

"WHAT!? WE'RE IN THE MIDDLE A HURRICANE THAT I MADE!!?" he yelled at me. "Wait, you mean you didn't mean to do this?" I asked surprised. "What? Mean to? I didn't even know I was in a hurricane!" he said still surprised. "Yeah well you made it so can you please stop it?" I asked getting a little annoyed by his reluctance to do it. "Oh yeah sure I can try, just give me a sec."

He closed his eyes and focused on something and a few seconds later the hurricane had disappeared like it was never there. I looked at him with my mouth open 'he has this much power and can control it this much already and he just got them today!' He opened his eyes and looked at me with so much confusion written on his face "did that do the trick? Why are you looking at me like that?" I turned away blushing like mad "s-sorry" I stuttered out. Wait why am I blushing and stuttering?

Jacob looked like he was about to ask me a question when he was interrupted by the Seekers coming over. Jacob latched on to my arm and moved behind me like a child does to his mother when they are scared. I turned to the head Seeker and said "I kept my end of the bargain now you keep yours." I looked back at Jacob to find him scrunching his eyebrows together in confusion. "Of course. I have every intention of keeping my end of the deal.....after we talk to him about what happened" said the head Seeker. "WHAT!?" screamed me and Jacob at the same time. "You promised that he would come with me after all this was over!" I argued with him even though I knew it would do no good.

"That's right I said 'after all this is over' but it's not over yet" he said with a cruel smile on his lips. "But I don't want to talk about what happened today yet! It hurts to much still" said Jacob with tears forming in his eyes. Before I could protest further the two Seekers that brought me here grabbed Jacob and pulled him towards the tent I was in not that long ago. I ran after them but was stopped by the head keeper saying "if you go in there and stop us you can forget about our little deal." Shit what can I do? "Just....Just don't hurt him please" I asked him. "Aw is our little Luca getting attached to the new kid? I'll do what I have to in order to get what I need, so don't stop us or else." With that he left me standing there shaking with so much hate.

I waited patiently far away from the tent so that I could resist the urge to grab Jacob and leave. I don't know why I was so attached to Jacob and felt like I needed to protect him but I did and it scared me. Time moved so slowly and when they finally emerged from the tent I let out a sigh of relief and ran over to check on Jacob. He looked up at me and smiled. I couldn't help but smile back, the first time in years. "Jacob! Are you alright?" I asked while checking him over for cuts or bruises. He only chuckled and said "I'm fine. They didn't hurt me only asked questions" while grabbing my arm to get me to stop moving.

I looked over at the head Seeker and gave him a questioning look. "What? He gave us what we wanted so we didn't have to hurt him just like you wanted." I turned back to Jacob and gestured for him to follow me "We need to get going so we can-" "What's you name? I never did ask you" he said cutting me off. "Oh that's right! I'm sorry my name is Luca" He visibly tensed at the mention of my mane, weird. The aircraft came into view and I looked at Jacob only to see his eyes bulging out of his head. "Haha just come on we have a long flight" I said hopping into it and holding my hand out to help him up. He snapped out of his gawking trance and took my hand to get in. When he did I felt something weird shoot through my body 'huh must be what happens when you touch someone' I thought since I haven't held someone's hand in years.

I was broken out of these thoughts when Jacob spoke up "where are we going?" "Where all super-humans go. We're going to the..."
