Morgana
I got ready for the show an hour after Rae left. I put on the most elegant, yet professional blouse that I had. I complimented it with the best designer jeans that I had. It was a suit and tie event sort of. The pack was going to be security tonight for me. They would be surrounding the outside of the building and checking on the entrances. There was no chance that vampire was getting in here. The sun was setting as the show began.
I walked around with the artist meeting people from the highest of the society ladder. They were all really smug. I was about to tell one of those ladies off. A few thought I was one of the artist's wife when they saw my wedding ring. I would tell no politely I wasn't. I separated from him and walked around enjoying the art he and the other artist made. I stood by one called 'Spear of Truth' looking up at it's sharp metal point. It went all the way up the second story. I felt my phone buzz and I answered it.
"Hello?" No one answered me.
"Who is this?" I heard breathing from the other side of the line.
"Your time is up mortal. By the end of the night you will be dead." How the fuck did Helena get my number?! Before I could say something back she hung up. I looked around me and saw no one. My phone buzzed again. I picked it up.
"Yes?" I said skittishly.
"Baby, what's wrong?" I sighed with relief to hear Ravenna's voice.
"Helena just called me."
"What? When?" I walked up to the front door.
"Just a few seconds before you. When will you be here?" I heard a horn honk in the background.
"I'm on my way now, but there is a lot of traffic going to the art gallery, so I'm not sure when I'll be there but I'll alert the pack that she made contact with you." I began to breath very hard.
"Morgan. Morgana Marie Jones?" I stopped and listened to Rae's soothing voice.
"Yes?"
"I love you." I sighed with relief.
"I love you too."
"Okay I'll be there soon. Bye." She softly hung up. I looked around and saw Pan looking at me. He nodded and turn back to face the outside. I began to calm down and walk around looking for Ravenna. I wanted her here with me so bad. I thought I saw her, but it wasn't. I felt a cold wind blow through my hair. I jumped and turned around. No one was there. I was really getting scared. Zeus walked around with Shane keeping an eye out for Helena.
"Morgana." I turned around and there was Ravenna. I ran into her open arms and kissed her. She looked at me then put her arm around me. I felt a lot calmer knowing she was here. I saw the wolves on the outside start to leave. Zeus and Shane walk up to us.
"We'll be waiting on the outside if we see anything." Shane said. We both nodded and walked around talking to the artist. It was a pretty good time. Lots of people enjoyed the artwork this season. I personally liked the spear. I wanted to drive it through Helena's head. I smiled at that thought. Rae noticed me smiling.
"What you smiling bout?" I looked at her. I kissed her lower lip. She hugged me and I thought I saw Helena but it wasn't. It was just a girl that looked like her. The show was coming to an end and everyone was clearing out. Rae and I stayed behind. I gave her a personal tour. I held her hand as we got to the top floor. She stopped and listened for a second. I saw her eyes getting dark. She shoved me out of the way as something came whizzing towards her.
She fell back but quickly got up. The dust cleared and there has Helena staring right at me. Before Ravenna could run to me Helena grabbed me and tilted my head exposing my neck. Tears started to roll down my cheeks. Ravenna raised her hand calmly.
"Helena, listen to me. You don't have to do this just hand her over and we can figure something out." Ravenna tried to step closer but Helena griped me tighter.
"No! If you would have done what I told you then there wouldn't be a problem! Now your wife will die!" She smelled my hair, "And my dear, I want you to watch." She bit down into my neck. I screamed in pain as she sucked out some of my blood. Rae punched her in the face, and threw her through the glass wall. I fell to my knees feeling the blood ooze down my shirt.
I watched as Ravenna was being tossed around like a doll. Her body going through walls and art. Ravenna punched Helena over and over in her stomach and face. She threw her into a sculptor the ran back to me. She took her shirt of and put it on my neck.
"Baby, you got to keep pressure on it okay. You're going to be alright." She turned around and was stabbed by a shard of glass by Helena. Helena picked her up by her throat and shoved her off the floor. I heard Ravenna scream then I heard a lout thud. She just fell three stories.
"Ravenna!" I screamed. She didn't answer me. Helena looked back at me. Her fangs were showing. I never felt so scared in my life. She walked to me and I tried to back away. I was cornered with nowhere to go. I looked into her cold blue eyes knowing this was the end for me. She picked me up by my throat and made my look over the edge. I saw Ravenna's body barely moving, but she was still alive.
"You see child. You brought this misery to her. If it wasn't for you she would have been with me months ago. Don't cry my dear, I'll take good care of her." She smiled at me showing me her fangs again. Out of nowhere a wolf jumped on her and bit her arm. I flew back into the wall. She yelled in pain and backhanded it away. This wolf had jet black hair and piercing black eyes. Thank God, it was Zeus.
Two more wolves came out of nowhere and jumped on her. she pushed them away. One had dark brown hair and light brown eyes, Pan. The other had dirty blonde hair and blue eyes, Shane. The three of them attacked Helena and where thrown threw the cement walls.
"Shane!" No answer.
"Pan!" No answer. I began to cry again.
"Zeus!!" I sobbed when I looked up all I saw were Helena's fangs coming down into my flesh. I screamed again. A burning sensation went through my neck as she bit down harder. My pain seemed to be entertaining to her. My vision became blurred. My limbs became very heavy. I was dying I knew that much. I only thought of Ravenna. All that I put her through over the years she still loved me with everything she had. I couldn't help but to cry now. All she ever did was love me and sometimes I just treated her like property.
I felt my self drifting away again like I did in high school. With my last breath I said what was on my mind.
"Ravenna, I love you." I felt cold, then I felt nothing......
