Prologue

My heart is beating like a ticking time bomb.

Want to know why?

My heart is going too fast, that's what it means and all because I am in the presence of the two people whom I think I love.

I know love can be a very strong word to describe how I feel so maybe it's not love as of yet but it sure seemed to be.

I've known one of them for a few years now and the other one not so long but I couldn't help but like him too.

My life is complicated enough without all this hassle with love but how can you stop what the heart wants?

I've learned this the hard way. My feelings began to show just after the battle of the immortal army and it's nearly been six months since then.

I showed no sign of liking them or, maybe, not as well as I thought.

I am waiting, quietly, over by the weapons watching Arthur and the five knights of Camelot practice.

Now you know that I love two out of the six. Want to guess?

Arthur and Gwaine!

How could I fall for the prince of Camelot who I also call dollop head and the knight of Camelot who spends most of his time in the Tavern?

I have no answer to my own question because I didn't know why.  I just do.

I am warlock with a destiny on my shoulders, being in love with these two guys would only cause more trouble or make my life more complicated.

That is why I kept this secret to myself all this time.

"Merlin!" Arthur called my name.

I still think Arthur is a dollop head but he does look good in those pants. I stood up and picked up a sword knowing he would want a new one.

This is the daily routine of a servant and being a warlock meant if anyone found out I was one, I would be dead. If anyone found out that I liked a knight and a prince I would also be dead.

 No one understands people being gay; it's seen as unlawful that would also be why I would be dead.

Could my life get any more complicated?

"Arthur, someone is here to see you something about the tournament tomorrow," said Gwen coming towards us.
