Jack's POV
"Jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the way." I sing, decorating the Christmas tree in my living room. The TV is tuned in to the Christmas station, Jingle Bells currently being played as I sing along. Although there's no snow out on the ground, nothing will stop me from being put in the festive mood. Not even Aster with the scowl on his face.
"Oh come on, Kangaroo! Get in the holiday mood!" I cheer, handing him the rest of the lights hanging from the tree as I move onto the white garland.
Rolling his eyes, he untangles the jumbled up strand. "Thanksgiving has barely passed-"
"It's been a week!"
"-I just think that we should give Thanksgiving the respect it deserves by waiting on decorating the tree." He huffed.
Laughing, I shake my head and start to wrap the garland on the tree. "You just don't want to decorate! The tree is the last thing we need to do, after that then we can relax for the rest of the day." Pecking him on the cheek, I give him a cheeky grin. "Besides, I really want to see you with reindeer antlers." Ever since Thanksgiving ended, I've found myself in a humorous and rambunctious mood. When I was a child -- Aster argues that I still am -- I always felt happier during the winter holiday than I usually did. Something about the trees outside being lit up, the smell of hot chocolate in cafes, decorating the house, or even the thought of being with my family just made me so giddy.
Aster sighs in exasperation, but I can tell he's joking with the mirth in his eyes, as he gives me a hug from behind. "Snowflake, I can't be a kangaroo, bunny, and a reindeer at the same time. That's humanly impossible."
Giggling at his fingers tickle my sides, I turn around and wrap my arms around his neck. "Maybe, but you'll always be my Kangabundeer...?" It ends up as a question since I have no idea if that was accurate or not. At the eye roll from Aster, I pout. "Aw, come on Aster! Why can't you help me just this once!" I ask. Grinning, I lean forward and whisper to him. "If you're good, I'll let you have a couple of my Hershey Kiss Cookies~" From the look on his face, I knew I had him instantly. As if a switch had been set off, Aster immediately started decorating once more without any complaints. Giggling at his attitude, I shake my head and continue decorating with Aster.
Once we finish, I make my way into the kitchen to check on the cookies that I had set on a cooling rack earlier that evening. Gently poking them, I'm satisfied to feel that they've cooled off enough for me to put the finishing touches. Opening the pantry, I take out a bag of Hershey Kisses and start to unwrap each one until I have enough. Taking one, I place it in the middle of the perfectly round cookie and gently push it so it's placed snugged in the treat. Repeating the step for every single last cookie, I take a step back and smile in satisfaction at my work.
I'm about to call for Aster when a set of arms wrap themselves around me. I feel warm lips press themselves against my neck, making me smile. "Aster, I was just about to call for you" I explain, happy that my man was giving me some attention. "The cookies are ready if you want one now." I offer, only to have him already picking up a cookie himself and taking a bite. Watching as he moans at the taste, I can't help but stare at him with hooded eyes.
'Hmm....When was the last time we did food play? Last week? Whipped cream would be nice....' I think, only to snap out of it when the other half of the cookie is pressed against my lips. Opening my lips, I eat the rest and nip at Aster's finger tips teasingly as I chew. Closing my eyes, I moan softly at the chocolate melting in my mouth, not too sweet yet not too bland, just right. Opening my eyes, I see Aster staring at me with hooded eyes. Licking my lips, I give him a teasing grin.
"What's wrong Bunbun? I- Ah!" I exclaim. Flailing my arms a bit, I finally latch onto the back of Aster's shirt as he lifts me up fire man style. I can't help but laugh as Aster walks towards the bedroom, after picking up the tray of cookies and opening the fridge to get out a can of whipped cream. Looking up, I smile at the grin on his face as he answers my unsaid question.
"What? I'm starting to get into the spirit of things~"
