Chapter 5
"There she is. Absolutely horrifying. Don't you guys think?"
"Yes sir."
"Should we do something about it?"
"Yes sir."
Ryker stood on a roof, overlooking the large Syndicate headquarters. It truly was horrifying, the huge building towered above the whole city. Looming above the public with it's simple architecture and bold unsaid statement.
Looking through the glass of his helmet, the technology displaying weak points, he knew his plan would be close to flawless. His people were in positions, standing at the ready for their leader to give them a command.
"Ari, on my mark, take Petra, Bjorn, Pyro, and West inside. Make sure you go down and reach the bottom floor. There will be a room positioned in the center, there will be a lot of technology inside. Pyro, do you know what I want?" Ryker asked, making more calculations about the mission. He could practically feel Pyro grin like a maniac.
"Really freaking huge explosion that rivals all of my previous bombs?" Pyro asked hopefully, his eager voice begging to let his powers truly shine.
"You better make it shine in comparison to your last ones. Make them fear the Pyromaniac. As for Lee and Keet, make a huge mess up above. Keet, make some freaking amazing storms, but only over the headquarters. Don't harm civilians. Lee, watch her back and add your own bright powers. Dane, with me."
"Finally, thank you boss."
Keet thanked him before getting started. Dark clouds gathered above the large menacing building. Ryker smiled happily, he loved letting his people freely use their powers to their hearts extent. Sometimes you need to stretch your muscles all the way.
Dane ran up to the roof and waited for Ryker's command like a good soldier. Ryker examined the layout of the building with his helmet, going through the layout again to make sure he was right.
The team has been running around for a few days, taking in the layout of the building and formulating the best plan they could. Ryker was confidant in his team, and in himself, he never makes decisions without thinking that they had above a ninety percent chance of succeeding.
"Dane, stay with me. There is something I need to get."
Ryker turned to Dane and waited for him to respond. Dane nodded and followed Ryker off the side of the building.
"Now. Go."
Ryker ordered, watching his team fly into action. The dark storm clouds gathered above the Syndicate headquarters, small flashes of lightning illuminating the sky. That intoxicating smell of ozone filled the air, making Ryker smirk in anticipation. Their helmets covered more of their faces, only letting their eyes show.
Ryker and Dane sprinted to a back door, easily being opened by a key card Petra managed to swipe while she was flirting with a technician from Syndicate.
No one liked how she got the card, they hated her getting close to anyone from Syndicate. Nevertheless, Petra had obviously done this before, and was very good at lying.
"We're in boss. No Syndicate soldiers anywhere, it's weird boss. Shouldn't there be at least one." Ari asked.
The four were deep at the bottom floor of Syndicate headquarters. This was not the most important headquarters, so he knew that there wouldn't be a ton of guards, but there should be at least some. This was their headquarters where their engineers, technicians, builders, and other really smart people stayed at. There were even some leaders that stayed here. So where is everyone?
