"Daddy, I can't go to school like that!"

"Like what?"

Annabeth sighed. Percy was totally clueless.

"I don't wanna go to school with no two front teeth!"

Percy sighed, holding Cass's hand. Why would a five year old care about missing teeth anyways?

"People won't laugh at you, Cass," Percy tried smoothing things out.

"It's not that, daddy."

"Then what is it?"

Cass had mumbled something into Percy's ear.

"So you like a boy?" Percy tried to stiffle a laugh.

Young love, was all Percy thought. The same love he had for Ariel in The Little Mermaid.

"Cass, someone once told me this: Love is when you're missing some of your teeth but you're not afraid to smile, because you know your friends still love you even though some of you is missing. So if you're sure that the boy loves you, don't be afraid, smile."

Annabeth smiled at Percy. To think a Seaweed Brain could be that deep. Maybe love wasn't so complicated after all.
