Leena's POV
"Brian, can you give us a few minutes?" I asked.
"Yeah, I'll see if Dom needs help or maybe Tej so he don't burn the food," Brian nodded.
"Check Emma, because she doesn't need to drink soda," I smiled.
"Alright, hun," Brian nodded.
Brian left. "May I ask who you are?" I asked.
"Detective Nick Amaro, NYPD SVU," he replied.
"You're a long way from him, aren't you, Detective?" I asked.
"Actually, LA is my home," Nick nodded. "When we were seventeen, think about the park and our science project?"
"Oh my god, Nick?" I asked. Nick smiled and we hugged. "It's been so long. How have you been?"
"NYPS SVU," Nick nodded. "You disappeared."
"I was a fugitive, I had to run," I nodded. "DSS Agent Hobbs cleared us so we're back here."
"And this is your life now?" Nick asked.
"Yeah," I smiled. "Twenty year old girl Emma, my almost five year old son here Jack, and my husband Brian O'Conner." I smiled at Nick. "This is my life. I've been married since I was 18."
"Eighteen?" Nick asked.
"Yeah," I nodded. "So?"
"Emma's twenty," Nick nodded. "You're only thirty three."
"My parents," I sighed. "Don't ask."
"Leena, time to eat," Dom replied.
"Room for one more?" I asked.
"The more the merrier," Dom nodded.
"You're eating with us," I smiled. "Come on." Nick followed me to the table. "This is Nick Amaro. A guy that helped me with a project back in high school." I sat Jack down. "Alright."
"No grace today since Adam is coming over," Brian sighed. "Emma made a decision to go into music instead of law enforcement."
"I still have my degree, Dad," Emma smiled. "I can go after I get done with The Voice." Her phone beeped. "Sorry." She looked at it. "Adam's almost here."
"Do you think you can drive me to the precinct?" Nick asked.
"Yeah," I nodded. "Dom, watch Jack and don't start pushing Chargers on him, please."
"Leena," Dom sighed.
"Brian, walk me out with Emma?" I asked. Brian nodded. We walked out to the green Eclipse. Nick got into the car as I opened my door. "I'll be back."
"Don't talk too long," Brian smiled.
"Hey, we may have a family, we didn't give up the cars," I smiled. "We got a minivan for the kid. Once Jack is older, we getting rid of it." A black van slowed down and pulled Emma in and drove off. "Emma!"
"Go!" Brian exclaimed as I got into my car and started speeding. "I'm right behind you."
I grabbed my walkie talkie. "Copy that," I replied. "Nick, call it in. My daughter's been abducted."
"Detective Nick Amaro, NYPD SVU, I'm in a green Eclipse following a black unmarked van," Nick stated. "Uh, heading fast down Sunset. I repeat, do not pull over the blue Nissan skyline or the green eclipse. In pursuit of an abduction of a black unmarked van."
"Thank you," I sighed as I kept a tail on the van. "Nick, I have a question."
"What's up?" Nick asked as we kept tailing the van.
"Can you drive a standard?" I asked. He didn't answer. "It's a simple yes or no."
"Yes," Nick nodded. "But I'm not a racer."
"You're going to drive like you are one today," I replied. "I need to get my daughter back, Nick, before I lose her again."
"Again?" Nick asked. "This happened once before?"
"Yes, in Spain," I nodded. I drifted right when the van made a right turn. "If you're not going to take the wheel, do me a favor." I put Nick's window down and pulled up beside the van. "Shoot."
"You want me to shoot someone?" Nick asked as the van turned. I turned as well ending up right behind again. "Leena."
"Nick, take the goddamn wheel," I said. I grabbed the walkie talkie. "Brian, I'm going in. You ready to get Emma?"
"Right here with you," Brian replied. I pulled up to the back of the van. I got out and Nick got into the driver seat. I jumped onto the back of the van. "Careful!"
"Don't worry about me," I replied. I opened the door and got in. A guy came at me but I ducked and he fell out of the van. "Sorry!" I took the bag off Emma's head and cut the rope from her hands and feet. "Emma."
"Mom!" Emma exclaimed as she hugged me.
"Let's go," I nodded. I signalled Brian. "Jump." Emma jumped just as the van turned a corner. The doors closed on me. "Ah!"
"Leena, get out of there," Brian replied. I opened the doors and jumped onto my car. I got in and started driving again. "Let's go home." We went back home and Adam was there waiting. "She's here."
"I've been waiting for like fifteen minutes," Adam replied.
"Sorry but I didn't think being abducted was going to be in the schedule," Emma sighed as they walked inside.
"I'll be inside in a little bit, Brian," I smiled. Brian kissed me and went inside. "Life is just like this Nick."
"You have a girl and a little boy," Nick smiled. "I have a daughter."
"How old?" I asked.
"Her name is Zara, she's seven years old," Nick smiled. "She's my little angel."
"Maybe you can bring her over one day and her and Jack can play together," I smiled.
"That'll depend on when I have Zara," Nick nodded. "Maria and I are divorced. This week she's at Maria's."
"When you find yourself in LA with Zara, don't hesitate to stop by," I smiled. "We can probably all have a play date at the beach."
"Leena," Agent Hobbs pulled up. "Where's Toretto and O'Conner?"
"They're both inside," I smiled. "What can we do for you this time?"
"Brian asked for this," Hobbs said handing me an envelope. "It's a recommendation letter for Emma."
"Thank you," I smiled. "That's thoughtful of you." Hobbs smiled and drove off. "Wow."
