I didn't see that coming

It's been great so far. I still feel weird when people ask us to sign stuff. Like, why? We're just like you. I can't believe you guys help me make a living out of this. If it wasn't for you, I'd probably be trying to sell houses (it's really difficult to make a living out of writing novels). It's also difficult to make a living out of music, but everyone has been so kind to us. I feel the love.

It's pretty cool. Especially when my whole life was completely different.

Ugh, not again. I rolled my eyes as I looked at the screen. Another anonymous hate message on my MetroFlog. "They have no fucking creativity, they use the exact same insults. Nerd, boring, childish, prude. I know them all. I have no idea about who does this but they are persistent. Maybe it's fucking Lilian, I mean, she used to beat me at school very often. But that happened two years ago. She must've moved on. Grown up. Ha, she always told me to grow up but I wasn't the one beating people just because they got better grades than me!" I said, deleting the message and turning off anonymous posts.

"I don't know who posted that but I know they're stupid. I mean, it's easier to become friends with you, you help them study, you include them in team projects as often as you can and voilà, better grades", Sonny said, grinning. "In addition, what's wrong with liking Disney movies? They're way better than that horror movie with terrible effects, a fucking rag doll thrown at the windshield, and the blood looked like cranberry juice... Remember?"

I laughed and nodded.

Yeah, now's like I'm getting all the love and support I didn't get during my teens. I'm living my dream, touring around the country. Now we're going to Denver and I'm taking as many photographs as I can as we are on the road.

Listen to me, it always gets better. Like our song says, your story isn't over yet, there are many many blank pages left, just wait and see, just live and dream.

The bus suddenly stops.

"I'm sick and tired of sandwiches and we have some time to kill before the show so I told Tim to stop here", Vincent started explaining. "I recommend eating at 'Tacoton', it's cheap and delicious. I used to eat there all the time."

We got out of the bus. We found ourselves in a parking lot, out of a huge mall.

"So you used to live here?" I asked, surprised.

"Yup", Vincent replied. "I was born here and I lived here until I turned 23. I was originally gonna move to Philadelphia but somehow I ended up in Brooklyn and I liked it, so I stayed. I usually spend holidays here, though."
