I cry Just a Little [Legolas FanFic] (WattyAwards 2013 Finalist)

My first Kiss

We ran out the building and into the cold night before we could go any further, he put a cloak over my shoulders so I wouldn't get cold. He also had a cloak then he grabbed my hand again and started running away from the building.

As soon as the moon light touched my skin, the marks on my body grew. We stopped in the middle of a grass field with only one tree next to us that barely has any leaves on them.

He stood in front of me and I saw him gulp because he looked like he was nervous, He then said "Ella, Close your eyes." I did as I was told to and felt the wind tickle my skin. I giggled and asked "What are we doing out here Legolas?" He grabbed both my hands and said "Listen carefully, what do you hear?"

Well... since I had hearing senses of elves I heard pretty much everything from the music and laughing in the building to bird's wings flapping in the wind and the horses stomps.

My eyes were still closed but all of a sudden I heard Legolas sing. I slowly opened my eyes and the wind was blowing his hair, he closed his eyes and sing. His voice was amazing. I remember Arwen told me (which was not included in the previous stories) that Legolas was the Elf with the most amazing voice but he barely sings ever since his mother passed away.

He then opened his eyes and stared into mine still singing the song in elvish that was about a 'When there's no Hope there will always be love' I then heard Lady Galadriel's voice in my head saying "sing with him"

I started singing with him, but as I started to sing my glowing marks shined even brighter green and everything around us was glowing like little green fireflies forming a circle around us, I looked at the beauty around us, it looked like fireworks just flying around.

I looked back into Legolas' eyes and my heart was flying. I never felt anything this strong before. We both stopped singing but still the green lights were circling us. That's when Legolas leaned in, my heart was racing at the speed of light.

I took my chance and leaned towards Legolas next thing I knew Legolas' lips were upon mine. It felt like petal's of roses rubbing against silk. His lips were warm as it grew into a passionate kiss, I felt him pouring his emotions into the kiss making it even more sweet.

As soon as we pulled away which I didn't want the kiss to end, the light around us faded and the only light was the moon and the marks on my body. "Ella, I never knew I could love someone as much as I love you." he said as he kept staring into my eyes.

That's when my heart sank, yes! I love Legolas with all my heart and if he lived in my world he would be the one I marry and in this world he would be the one I spend forever with but I wasn't normal and never will be normal.

I was the chosen one of the last prophecy and my destiny was to save Middle earth...... and die.

I can't hurt Legolas when I die, he will also die from a broken heart but if I tell him right now in a correct way that I love him but cannot love him then he might be free.

"Legolas..." I started to say as I was facing him and he was waiting for an answer. My heart was breaking with each breath I took. I just wanted to kiss him again and tell him how much I love him but I was doing the right thing "I'm... I'm sss... sorry Legolas." I said slowly tears beginning to fill my eyes. 

"I can't love you." Tears started streaming down my face. Legolas' hand was about to caress my face but I stepped back and I saw that he was offended. 

"I'm sorry, I can't do this." I said as I sprinted back to the building and to the room which I was staying in which was shared by the others, okay! maybe I didn't tell him in the right way. My emotions got in the way, I was too sad.

I slammed the door behind me and sobbed loudly knowing no one was there to hear me.... but I spoke too soon. I heard someone cleared their throat and I quickly turned around and saw Grandfather.

I didn't stop crying I just ran into my Grandfather's arms and cried, "There, there now! everything's gonna be alright."  he said as he patted my back until I fell asleep.

Knowing nothing was gonna be okay.

I was not dreaming in my sleep but for some reason I heard two people talking I tried to open my eyes, and as I opened them I saw Pippin standing up talking to Merry who was sitting up. I sat up and asked "What's going on?" Pippin jumped and clutched at his heart and said "For Elven sake's! you scared me Ella." 

"What are you doing Pippin?" I asked. He continued walking towards grandfather.

"I just want to see something." he said. I had a bad feeling about this. He then picked up Saruman's Orb, my eyes widen and I whispered but kinda shouted "PIPPIN! PUT THAT DOWN!" but he ignored me.

Sooner or later, the orb then appeared with the image of the eye and Pippin was shaking like he has been struck by lightning, I quickly got to my feet and took the orb away from him,

Suddenly I started also shaking but the marks on my body glowed but not green, it was now pure red and it burned, like I was on fire.

'I can see you' the eye hissed at me, 'you think you can defeat me, but you are wrong!!' suddenly images were surrounding me. Images of Grandfather being slain, Aragorn, Frodo and even... Legolas. 'I know your fear chosen one, you will die by my hands. Either you win or lose you will die' then he let out an evil laugh.

I felt someone knocked the orb out of my hands and I couldn't hear clearly but I heard grandfather say "A took of a fool!" I looked closely and saw that I was in Legolas' arms my whole body was burning I could feel where I was burnt.

I looked at Legolas and he whispered "Hold on... Ella.. please.. stay with me... Melamin." that's when everything went black... was I dead? and did he just called me love?
