"So, I never got your name," I told him as we walked to the dining hall.

"The name's John Deere," he told me.

"It's nice to meet you John," I smiled warmly. "I'm Briella Novitski."

He chuckled. "No, my real name is Trevor, Trevor Collins."

"I thought that name sounded too familiar!" I giggled. "I can't believe I fell for that!"

"I can't believe you did either," he laughed with me. "Anyways, here is the dining hall. All you need to know is that it is in the main lodge. Come on, follow me."

He led me to a table that was set up in the front of the room. There were a bunch of people sitting there, including the woman that I met last night at the front desk.

"All of the employees sit together and eat breakfast," he educated me. "All you have to do is walk into the kitchen and pick up the plate you want. Then when you're done, you bring it back and head off to work. By the way, I never got the answer of where you're working."

"In the barn," I answered, walking into the kitchen.

He followed. "Really? That's where I work! It looks like we'll be seeing plenty of one another."

"Wonderful," I mumbled under my breath, mentally rolling my eyes. I barely know this guy and he's already driving me crazy.

I grabbed a Western omelet off of the counter and made my way back to the table. Of course Trevor just had to sit beside me. I didn't say a word as I finished my breakfast and headed out to the barn, which I luckily found by myself.

When I entered the barn, I was surrounded with the familiar scent of horses and hay combined. It might sound gross, but it's a calming scent to me. I grew up around horses. As I took in my surroundings, I noticed a burly man grooming one of the horses on the other side of the barn.

"Excuse me?" I called out to get his attention.

He stopped his task and turned to face me.

"How can I help you ma'am?" his deep voice shocked me.

"I am new here. I'm working with you and I believe the other male's name is Trevor?"

"Yes, Trevor works here as well. You're name is...?"

"Briella. It's nice to meet you. You are Jackson, correct?"

"Yes ma'am," he beamed.

"So, what would you like me to do?" I asked.

"Can you help me put the saddles on the horses?"

"ABSOLUTELY!" I heard a voice bellow.

I turned towards the entrance to the barn to see a smirking Trevor walking in. Wow, could he be any louder? I looked over at Jackson who rolled his eyes.
