~COPYRIGHT 2013~Four shots of vodka later, I was feeling numb. I could see Trevor smirking from the bar stool beside me.
"Able to hold your liquor now?" he teased.
"I am absolutely fine," I said. "Liyanna, get me another shot!"
She poured the liquor into my cup and I slammed it down, my eyes blurring.
"Hit me again!" I called.
"Briella, I think you've had enough. You're going to have a major hangover as it is and you have to work tomorrow," she said.
"Nonsense! I'm perfectly fine!"
She put her hands on her hips. "Then why are you slurring?"
"I'm not slurring!"
"Yes you are, and you don't even realize it. I have the right to refuse you alcohol and I'm doing that right now. Go back to the cabin and sleep it off," she ordered.
"No! I want a drink!"
"I got her," Trevor spoke, getting off of his stool. "Come on Briella."
"No!"
"Alright, it looks like I'm doing this the hard way."
Next thing I know, I'm being picked up off of my stool and thrown over his shoulder. I shrieked at first as we walked out, slapping him on the back, but then I started giggling. I was thrown down on my bed when we got back, still giggling.
"You know, you really can't be getting drunk here. You're lucky the owner wasn't there. You would've been fired in an instant," he warned, pacing in front of me.
"But you saved me! You're superman!"
"God, you really can't hold your liquor," he muttered. "Listen, I'm going to need you to drink some of this water bottle. And when you go to sleep, sleep on your side. We don't need you dying if you have any accidents. If you need me, I'll be in my room."
"Wait! Don't leave me here! What if the boogey monster gets me?"
"There's no such thing as the boogey monster. Now go to sleep."
"Trevor, please? I'm gonna die!"
"Ugh, fine, but I'm not sleeping in here. You're coming in my room. Let's go."
"Yay, sleepover!" I cheered, running through the bathroom to his room.
I jumped on his bed and lay down so I could see him. I watched as he took his shirt off. I giggled like a little girl. He smirked at me as he pulled down his pants, standing there in his boxers.
"You know what?" I asked, wagging my finger at him drunkenly. "You-You are just so beautiful."
He chuckled, putting his pajama pants on. Then he lay beside me, facing the other way.
"Go to sleep," he demanded and cut off the beside lamp.
I stared at his bare back, the moon shining from the window, showing his muscles. On their own accord, my hands came up and started caressing his muscles. I felt and saw him tense up. I swear I heard him groan.
"What're you doing?" he asked, tensing up even more.
"You're so hot!" I growled, kissing his skin.
He was quick to turn over and grab me by the hips, pulling me into him.
"If you don't stop right now, I'm not going to be able to control myself," he warned.
"So?"
"You're going to do something you'll regret. You're drunk. It's your body talking. You actually hate me, contrary to what you believe right now."
"I can make my own decisions."
Right then, he smashed his lips to mine.

My eyes fluttered open to the sun shining in the window. I winced at the major headache I was sporting. I sat up in bed and the blanket fell from my bed, causing me to gasp when I noticed I was bare as the day I was born.
That was when I remembered what had happened last night. Yes, I remembered. Even though I might've had a lot to drink, I'm fairly good at remembering the night before. But holy crap, I slept with Trevor! I never thought I would do that, even if I was drunk! So does that mean I'm hiding my true feelings with hate? Whatever. I don't have time to analyze my actions. I need to go to work. I froze. Holy crap, I have work! What time is it?
My eyes flew to the clock. It read 8:30. Crap, I only have half an hour left to get ready! I jumped up and got ready, popping two Tylenol before running out the door. When I got to the barn, I said hello to Jackson and helped him get ready. Trevor came in and started talking to me like nothing had happened last night. He didn't treat me any different and continued to tease me. Well, uh, that kind of hurt! Maybe he's just putting on an act for Jackson? Yeah, that's it. He's waiting until we're alone to show his affection. Right?
