I know this story is slow, but that's how it's meant to be. It's supposed to funny, so I hope you find humor in it. I'm not lying when I say some of this stuff happened in real life. That's how I got an idea for this story! And while it was happening, I was cracking up so I hope you find the humor in it!

We started out on the ride at a slow pace, especially my horse. No matter how hard I kicked him, he just wouldn't go any faster. Why did they choose the slowest horse here for me?

"Will you please hurry it up?" Trevor complained.

"I can't! The horse isn't going any faster!" I replied.

"Give him a good kick and he will!"

"I've already tried that!"

"Well kick him again! For Christ sakes, are you stupid?"

"No!"

"Knock it off you two!" Jackson admonished from up front.

We silenced and I kicked Moose with both of my feet at the same time. He didn't pick up his pace. I tried three more times and still nothing.

"You know, all you're doing is flopping your feet," Trevor remarked.

I whipped my head around to glare at him. "Why don't you shut up?"

"Why don't you turn around and watch where you're going?" he suggested with a chuckle.

I sighed and turned back around. This guy really knew how to push my buttons. After a while, we were at least thirty feet away from the guest in front of us.

"Alright, that's it; I cannot take anymore of this. I'm coming around and I'll kick him for you. You clearly don't know how to handle a horse," he said and kicked his horse to go faster.

I saw him coming up beside me and it was like there was an instant reaction from Moose. He picked up his pace and caught up to the group. I looked at Trevor and stuck my tongue out at him.

"Ha! Beat that!" I chanted.

"Beat what?" he questioned. "I was clearly the one who made him move. He saw me coming and ran!"

"Whatever. I never win with you."

"And you never will."

The rest of the ride was silent and I was relieved when we got back to the barn. However, I was quickly disappointed when I found out there was another ride after this one got off.

Lunch couldn't come quick enough and neither could dinner. We had gotten off right before dinner and I went straight back to the cabin. Luckily Trevor didn't follow me. I took a shower, straightened my hair and changed into something more comfortable and less...smelly. I ran into Trevor on the way out, but we didn't say a word to one another.

I went to dinner and spoke to some of the workers whom I hadn't met yet. Everyone was really nice here. As much as you probably don't believe it, I enjoyed my job today. Riding horses is my passion and I could enjoy it each time we went out, even if my stupid male roommate was teasing me the entire time.

After I finished dinner, I headed back to the cabin for the night. When I got there, I was surprised to see a female sitting on the twin bed in my room.

"Um...hello!" I awkwardly greeted her.

Her raven hair swished out of the way of her bright blue eyes as she looked up from the book she was reading. She gave me a smile.

"Hey, you must be my roommate!" she exclaimed, standing up. "I'm Liyanna."

"Nice to meet you Liyanna. I'm Briella," I introduced myself, shaking her hand.

"That's a pretty name. I wish mine was like that."

"Thanks." I took a seat on the edge of my bed. "So, what job do you have here?"

"I'm actually a bartender down at the main lodge. I just got hired," she told me. "My old boss recommended this place after his bar closed down."

"Wow, this place of all places?"

"Yeah, he thought I was one of his best bartenders and said that I'd get some great tips here with all of the clientele."

I laughed. "Well, that's a good enough reason for me! Have you met anyone yet?"

"No, I just arrived. The lady at the front desk told me I would be able to eat dinner with you guys, but I didn't feel comfortable. I'll wait until tomorrow to meet everyone," she said.

"Do you want me to at least go get you something to eat?" I offered. "You can't go without eating."

"No, it's alright. I stopped at Taco Bell on the way down. Thanks though."

"No problem. Anyways, we have another roommate," I informed her. "He's...quite character. To be honest, I don't really get along with him."

"Wait, did you just say he? We're rooming with a guy?" she asked, shocked.

"Well, he lives on the other side of the cabin but we share a bathroom."

Right then, the door swung open.

"HONEY, I'M HOME!" Trevor's voice rang throughout the small wooden cabin.

I scowled and gaining a cheeky grin from him. I just rolled my eyes as his gaze landed on Liyanna.

"And who is this beautiful lady?" he questioned.

She blushed and introduced herself shyly. He grabbed her hand and kissed it. My face went red and I felt a pang in my chest. Holy crap, what was that? Was I jealous? What the hell? I don't like Trevor!

"It's a pleasure to meet you Liyanna. I'm Trevor. If y'all need me, I'll be in my room. Please don't hesitate to come and look for me."

With a wink, he went to his side of the cabin.

Why was he acting this way towards her? He never did that to me! What the hell is wrong with me?!?
