Nathan and I took turns practising on the piano with Mrs. Dacker. Nathan was really good. His fingers glided over the piano keys with such grace I was jealous.
"Great! Both of you! Fantastic! I have to go pick up my kids now. You two can stay here as long as you lock up when you leave. Kerri show Nathan all what to do. It's not hard. See you both tomorrow." Mrs. Dacker said while grabbing he stuff and leaving
"You're really good." Nathan said
"You are too. I've never met anyone so good." I said then mentally punching myself for saying something so stupid.
He laughed and I couldn't help but laugh with him.
"Do you want to practise some more?" he asked
"Yeah, I usually stay here as long as I can." I said moving over to the piano bench and sitting down
He sat down beside me and I rested my hand on the keys and started playing. Escaping this messed up world and entering the music one. I finished and I saw Nathan watching me. He quickly looked away and cleared his throat.
"You're really good." he said again
"Right." I said rolling my eyes
"You really are." he said grabbing my hand
I looked in his green eyes and saw the truthfulness there. I pulled my hand out of his and quickly stood up. I grabbed my bag and started locking up everything. Nathan followed me around to watch what all needed to be down. I locked the door and started walking out in the rain without looking back at Nathan. I looked for Michaels car but he wasn't out here. He hasn't been the past couple days.
"Do you need a ride?" Nathan said pulling up next to me in a red car
"I'm okay." I said and kept walking
"Kerri, it's pouring. Get in." he said
I sighed and got in the passenger side
"I'm sorry. I'm getting your seats all wet." I said
"It's fine. This car has been through a lot. A little rain on the seats won't hurt it." he said smiling
He turned up the heat and started driving
"Where to?" he asked
"My boyfriends house." I replied
"Just tell me where to turn." he said looking forward
I told him the directions and we got there quickly.
"Thank you." I said getting out
"Anytime." he said looking forward
I ran up to Michaels house and knocked. No one answered so I tried the door and found it unlocked.
"Hello?" I yelled through the house. No one answered and I saw Michaels bag on the floor. I went up the stairs to his room and I heard voices
I opened his door to find him half naked on top of a girl on his bed. My hand flew to my mouth and I gasped a little
"Oh my God." I said
"Kerri!" Michael said standing up and coming towards me
"No, stay there. Do not come any closer to me." I said
"Let me explain." he said
"There's nothing to explain! I thought you loved me!" I yelled trying to keep the tears from spilling over
"I do, Kerri!" he said
"No you don't! Stay away from me! I hate you!" I yelled at him
I ran down the stairs and out the door. The tears started falling and I started for home. It was about an hour walk from his to mine and I didn't have enough money for a cab. I decided to walk through a certain part of London that has many shops and many canopies down the sidewalk. I kept my head down and tried to keep covered when I bumped into someone
