ALI

This was good. This was a start. I ran to catch up to Becca and Liam.

"So, what did he want?" Becca asked in a casual tone.

"He just asked me a few more things about before." I answered, avoiding her gaze. I always knew she liked Niall too. Which is why I had to take my chance and get to know Niall better, and make sure we're good friends. Or else Becca would ruin my reputation in his mind. We walked to Liam's car. We silently drove home. Liam dropped Becca off at her house. As soon as she left, Liam started talking. I smiled, knowing that at least one boy liked me for who I was. As we approached my house, Liam said,

"Ali, I know you like him. Don't worry, he'll like you back soon enough. Becca isn't his type." I was shocked.

"What? Psh, no I don't. We were just friends." I asked.

"He asked you out."

"And I said no."

"And you regretted it."

"Wha-How do you know?"

"I don't know, I could just tell by the way you acted around him, before and now. And well, maybe it's because I like you more than Becca. I think you and Niall would be perfect together." He winked. I laughed.

"What about Becca? She'll definitely get mad." I said.

"She can't be mad. It's a fact that you and Niall were practically made for each other. Plus, I have a secret weapon."

"What kind of secret weapon?" I asked curiously.

"You'll see..."

"Okay, then." We laughed. I leaned over and hugged him.

"You're awesome, Liam. You know that, right?"

He nodded. "Yeah, I know."

I smiled and walked to the door. I waved goodbye, and shut the door.

NIALL

"Hey Niall!"

"Nice to see you back!"

"How are you?"

Unknown faces swirled around me. Who were these people? Did I know them? Were they my friends?

"Um, hi, guys." I smiled weakly.

"Hey, Niall."

My head turned. It was Ali. Finally, someone I recognized!

"I bet you don't know where all your classes are. Here, I'll show you. Your first class is English, right? I'll show you where it is. Follow me."

Ali's long hair swung from side to side as she walked through the hall. People looked at me strangely as I walked beside her. She seemed to notice this and ducked her head. Why was she embarrassed? Suddenly, she stopped.

"This is your first class. Um, I have to go now. Bye." She walked away briskly. I stared after her, confused when a sharp pain shot through my head. I gasped, leaning against the wall next to me. What was that?

"Oh mah gawsh! Are you okay?"I turned around. Becca? Lucky, I guess because I had no idea what to do.

"Here, let's go or we'll be late!" She took my hand and dragged me into the classroom. The whole class was staring at us when we walked in. I dropped her hand. The class snickered, but Becca didn't seem to notice.

"Yes, Niall and Becca, please take your seats." the teacher said.

"Sorry, Ms. Marks." she giggled. I looked around the room. The only two seats left were next to each other. Did I really sit next to her before I forgot everything? I sighed, and sat next to Becca.
