I got up during math to get water and on my way almost evreyone said somethig sympathetic.
"Hey im sorry"
"How are you?"
"Im sooo sorry for your-loss?"
But finally when i got there, i saw someone who i thought i noticed
His hair was all to one side. He had a turtle neck and i think jeans.
He turned to me and said "Riley?"
I finally relized who he was-
"Farkle! Hi!"
He smiled . But then it faded "im really sor-"
"Yeah i know"
"No not about that. I never knew that was why you acted so suicidal"
"Oh- well thats okay I probably wouldnt have told you any- wait how do you know why?"
"All i heard it Maya told Lucas you got abused and were depressed. I was behind them"
" oh ok" i was a little creeped out but im glad it wasnt a spread rumor.
"So what happend?"
"The police i think arrested them and now im in another house."
He nodded "if its fine, id love to be your friend again." He said
"I must admit i kinda missed your weirdness around" i said and playfully pushed him
He laughed. I hugged him and rushed back to class
"Meet me at lunch!" I whisper-yelled

"Finally" i had said to Maya and Lucas when algebra ended ,it was lunch
Lucas sat down across from us and spread a paper out
" i found this in my locker" it was what looked like a rancid note.
It read-

If you want it kept stay away from Maya and Riley.

Your first clue will be at a place where you can drink coffee and find all the latest news.

I looked at it and read the clue again, carefully
"Where could the clue be?" Maya commented
Lucas looked around "well think- whats a coffee place that we can find news?" He asked
I thought carefully "well we can find news from newspapers, magazines and... COMPUTERS!" I exclaimed
Mayas frown turned into a huge grin. "The electric bean!" She said loudly
Farkle sat down. "What the heck is this?"
I explained "everyone this is farkle."
"After class were all going to the electric bean. Wanna go?" Maya offered
"Sure why not."
"Im Maya by the way. Nice to meet you"
Farkle smiled "you to"
But then it came to mind- whats Lucas' secret?
