Mark's POV

'So... bored...'

School had only just started and Mark was already tired of being there. Generally speaking, Mark was the type of guy who tried to have a positive attitude, even when he felt like he was dying inside. In fact, he actually enjoyed math! It was his favorite subject besides music.

But today was different. Today was Thursday, the day the new student would arrive. Mark knew that the empty desk next to his own was probably the first place his teacher would assign the new kid, as this was a fairly large class and there were no other empty seats available.

"Well class, as many of you already know, today we have a new student!" Mr. Patrick said welcomingly. Mr. Patrick was young for a teacher, but he was a genius mathematician. He and Mark got along pretty well, so when class wasn't in session, he was allowed to just call him Matt.

"-so please welcome mister McLoughlin into our happy family!" Matt said cheerily motioning to the boy at the front of the class. Mark looked up at the boy only to have the feeling that time itself had stopped. The Irish boy in question wasn't very tall, like Mark, but he had a sleeker frame. He was wearing a loosely fitting unzipped hoodie with a band shirt underneath that's logo appeared to be an... eyeball? It was green where it should be white and it had a piercing blue iris, just like the boy who donned the shirt. His eyes were... stunning! Not to mention the way they were brought out by the boy's neon green hair! Mark caught himself drooling as the boy began to speak.

"Uh, hi? My name is Sean McLoughlin, but ye can all call me Jack. Uhm... I'm from Ireland, and I play drums in a band... and that's all I got!"

At that remark, the class began to giggle, hell even the teacher was stifling a laugh! Mark, however, was too lost in the boy's eyes to notice or care. He did, however, pay attention when the teacher began his next statement.

"Well Jack, you can just have a seat right there next to Mark" Matt pointed in Mark's direction and for a couple seconds Jack's gaze met his and a look of amusement spread across the drummer's face.

'Well then, he's cute' Jack thought, and then sat down in the seat next to Mark.

When Jack's eyes began looking into Mark's, he could feel his heart begin to race. 'Don't be weird don't be weird, just look away or something!' Mark thought as he continued to look Jack in the eye. For some reason unknown to the confused bisexual boy, he couldn't look away from those petrifyingly beautiful seas of ocean blue.

Before he knew it, Jack was already sitting next to him, not breaking their strange staring contest for the world.
