Jack's POV

'Look at him nerding away!' Jack thought as his boy toy started squealing on and on about how much he loved space, and how if there were any chance for him to ever go to space even if it meant a horrible painful death, he'd jump at the opportunity.

"I just always found space so fascinating! Thinking about just how small we are in the universe, and how vast the area to explore truly is, it's amazing!" Mark could talk about space for hours and hours if given the chance.

Jack just continued to stare in joyous disbelief. He loved just how passionate Mark was about the things he loved. He admired him for his commitment to learning which was extremely rare in today's society. Jack had never met someone so smart and 'dumb' at the same time. Dumb as in awkward and quirky, and sometimes unobservant.

It was clear the green haired boy wasn't paying attention to what Mark was saying, and he knew this all too well. He just couldn't stop thinking about Mark long enough to listen to Mark. It was a confusing predicament, to say the least.

"Jack? You okay there? You're spacing out more than I am!" Mark proceeded to laugh at his own terrible joke while his admirer just continued to stare lovingly at him.

"Hm? What was that? I'm sorry I couldn't hear over just how cute you are~" Jack was amused by his own sentiment, whilst Mark feigned offense playfully.

"Oh so I'm just a pretty face to you now am I?" He pushed the Irish boy gently, the two both laughing soon after.

"You know you like being my bottom bitch!" Jack jested back, poking the taller boy in the arm as they used the computer together.

They were talking about space in the first place because they had decided to do their school project on black holes. Mark loved the subject and Jack loved Mark too much to possibly imagine arguing with his puppy-dog eyes.

"Gotta make money somehow" Mark continued their strange string of sexual jokes, not realizing how late it was becoming in the day.

"BOYS!! SUPPER'S READY!!" came a call from down the stairs.

Jack was quick to respond, having lived with his mother's loud ways his whole life. "WE'LL BE DOWN IN A SEC' MA!!!" He yelled loud enough for the whole neighborhood to hear.

Mark saved their documents he had practically done completely by himself because Jack was far too busy staring at him to actually help. He then got up and tried to imagine a way he could avoid embarrassing himself further, but could only picture the worst-case-scenarios.

He was shaking gently when he felt a strangely firm hand on his shoulder. "You'll be just fine Mark, calm down! Ye're shakin' like a Chihuahua!" The Irish boy said in an oddly comforting tone, practically reading Mark's mind.

Mark just nodded, refusing to look into Jack's eyes because he knew he'd be too entranced by their beauty to think about his irrational fear of disappointing Jack and his family.

Jack grabbed Mark's jaw and lifted him so they would have full eye contact. They then kissed briefly but passionately, Jack pulling away to stand up and leave the room. Mark was far too awestruck to react.

"It'll be okay Mark. I'll be there to pull your foot out of your mouth if need be." was all Jack needed to say for Mark to have the strength to get up and follow him down the stairs.

The boys made their way towards the delicious smell of what was assumed to be the amazing dinner Jack's mother had prepared.

She had just finished setting the table for four people when the two hungry teens came in. "Please, sit down! What's wrong, you look like ya seen a ghost!" Jack's mother chuckled as Mark stood in awe.
