Jack's POV

"Of course he likes you! It's obvious!" Wade yelled excitedly.

"He's been spacing out like crazy, and he stares at you a lot." Bob said encouragingly.

Yami nodded excitedly "He's never looked at anyone like that before! He looks at you like he wants to eat your face or somethin', it's almost scary..." he said shaking his head as if he was much older and wiser than the two boys, even though they were in the same grade.

"More like he wants to eat Jack's you-know-what instead, am I right?" Wade said nudging Bob's arm playfully.

"Stop it you guys, that's not funny!" Jack said trying to hide his face in his shirt, flushing bright red as he did so.

"Hey! Maybe a relationship with you'll be just what Mawk needs to get out of his rut, and cheer up!" yelled the British boy excitedly.

"Yeah! I mean they would totally be cute together!" lamented Bob, pretending to be an obnoxious teenage girl.

"Well? What are you waiting for?! Go get him!!" Wade said practically pushing Jack towards the men's restroom, where Mark was inside, most likely crying his eyes out.

"G-guys I d-don't think that I-" Jack was cut off by Yami pulling open the door for him as Bob and Wade forced him inside. "Good luck~." They all said as the door slammed shut, leaving the boy in a secluded place with quite possibly the sexiest person he'd ever seen.

"G-guys let me out!" He said banging his fists on the door, to no avail. To his surprise, the restroom was silent. No sounds were coming from the stall in which the half German boy hid.

"M-Mark?" Jack said, worried about his new friend. He knocked on the stall door where his crush was hiding. "You okay in there...? You wanna come out here and talk?"

Jack still received no response and was about to give up when out stepped the boy with the beautiful brown eyes. "I'm fine, I just needed to be alone for a while. I'm sorry I worried you guys." He said, wiping the last tear from his cheek.

"Mark, you don't have to lie to me! I know ye're not okay." The worry in his voice made his accent a bit stronger than usual. "I won't force ya t' talk about yer feelings, but I'm here if ya want ta let 'em out."

Mark's POV

The way his Irish counterpart said that last sentence was extremely comforting to the half-Korean boy, and made him feel oddly safe. His muscles relaxed as he sat on the floor of the bathroom, Jack taking a seat next to him.

"It's just that... Yamimash was the first boy- no, the first person I've ever had strong feelings for..." Mark paused to glance into Jack's clear blue eyes, looking back to the floor quickly, unable to admit his new care for this boy he'd only known for a few hours. ".. and when we, broke up I just... I felt so empty, so alone. No matter what I did, I couldn't shake the feeling of something missing from my life!" He finished, saddened by the thought of his situation, but at the same time relieved to have gotten the information off his chest.

Jack just nodded his head understandingly, taking in all the information Mark had given him, and processing it carefully before formulating a response. "I get that, Mark. Really, I do." He began, gently rubbing Mark's back to comfort him. "When me and my girlfriend of three years broke it off, I thought I would never love again, that I couldn't exist without her" he spoke these words with a pained expression, the memories returning slowly.

"Really? But you seem so... happy. What happened?" Mark said, shocked at the new information.

"Well at first, I was a mess. I hated myself so much that I shut everyone out, and refused any solace." the pain once again filling him regretfully. "Look at this" Jack pulled up his sleeves slowly, revealing his old scars all up the length of his arms and displaying them for Mark "I even began cutting myself, that's how bad it was! For some stupid girl!" He said bitterly, remembering how terrible the experience was.

"Jack, wha-! I don't understand how could you possibly- I mean I just-" Mark began speaking quickly, obviously in shock of this new information, saddened extremely by the thought of someone as cute and lovable as Jack going through such travesties.

"I got over it though. I stopped blaming myself and stopped cutting. I learned to get by." He said quietly, still covered with the pain he could visibly still feel.

Mark's initial shock and horror quickly turned to sorrow when he noticed just how pained Jack felt at the memories. He was quick to pull the small Irish boy into a warm embrace, waiting only a few quick seconds before the embrace was returned. Minutes went by, and the two boys just sat there in each other's arms, content with the idea of staying that way for the rest of their lives if possible.

Mark was the first to let go, but still facing Jack, he began looking into his beautiful icy blue eyes. "Jack... I want you to promise me something." He said, a serious expression now in his face.

"Of course Mark, what is it?" Jack asked, confused by the sudden change of tone the other boy had gone through.

"I want you to promise me that this-" he gently grabbed Jack's wrists and lifted them into view "-will never, EVER happen again." he said, his voice wavering a little as he ended his statement. "Someone as funny and kind and adorable as you should never go through that." he finished confidently, though the fear of Jack being disturbed by that last remark was strong.

"Okay Mark, I promise, but under one condition." Jack said staring back into the brown eyes that controlled him so much. Mark gave him a curious look, encouraging him to continue. "I'll promise to never cut myself again if you promise to get over your break up with Yami and become friends with him again." Jack said strongly, expecting a highly negative response.

"I'll try, I guess.." Mark hesitated before continuing, thinking about the terms ".. if that's what you really want, then I'll try my hardest!" Mark helped the green haired boy to his feet and they both left the unsanitary boy's lavatory content with the deal they had made.

"There are the two lovebirds!" went Bob enthusiastically, earning an annoyed groan from Mark and a nervous sweeping hand gesture from Jack, signaling that he hadn't made any moves on Mark during their time in the restroom.

"What's wrong, you didn't chicken out, did ya?" Wade said obnoxiously. "You did! I told you guys he wouldn't do it!"

Mark was clearly confused by this statement, but was distracted by the bell ringing before he could say or do anything about it.

"Well well look at the time!" Jack said hurriedly grabbing his things and practically dragging Mark out by the wrist. "See ya guys later! Come on Mark, we've got to get to Mr. Hoying's music class!" he yelled as they fled the cafeteria, leaving the other boys to their own imaginations.
