Annie and Ross, along with the other tributes, wait in the waiting room until their names are called for their privet session. Annie felt eyes, like daggers being stabbed into her back, but wouldn't dare turn to see who was staring. Nobody dared to speak, so the silence dragged on, and as the names of each tribute were called out over the speaker, nerves began to grow, not only on Annie, but also Ross. Moments later, Annie's name was called out, and she slowly made her way through the corridor towards the training room. Annie had put no thought into what she was going to show the game makers, but once she entered through the large metallic doors, she saw all the skill areas still set up. When she looked up at the games makers, they were all sitting there, drinking champaign and staring at her. She then decided she had to choose a skill and choose one, fast. She remembered how well she threw those knives during her training so believed it was her best shot. She approached the knives section and picked one up, standing before the target. She looked up at the game makers who didn't pay attention to her at all. She then decided to try and get her attention.

"Hello?" Annie said. Nobody looked at her yet alone acknowledged her presence.

"I said hello!" Annie shouts. She then caught the attention of the game makers who swung around in their chairs and stared at her, one of them nodding to indicate she could start. Annie then clenched the knife in her hand and turned to face the target, throwing it, but like it did the first time she threw the knife during training, it fell just before the target. The game makers made some inhuman laugh but continued to watch, sipping their drink. Annie then tried again, and this time she closed her eyes and exhaled, she threw the knife and heard the sound of impressed muttering. She opened her eyes and saw the knife in the centre of the target. She smiled and turned to look at the game makers who didn't really seem too impressed, as if they have seen hundreds of tributes with the same skill.

"Thank you Miss Cresta, you may leave" The head game maker says as he swings back around in his chair.

Annie then walked out of the room, feeling as if she could have done better.

After the evening meal, Annie, Finnick and Ross sat around the crescent sofa in the penthouse lounge. Annie sat with her knees dragged up to her chest and Ross was looking through a book about knives.

"So, how did your privet sessions go today?" Finnick asks as he brakes the silence.

"Fine" Ross replies as his eyes left his book. "practiced my hand-to-hand combat"

"How about you Annie?" Finnick asks. She lets her knees drop from her chest and swept her hair over her shoulder.

"Threw a few knives, game makers didn't seem too impressed though" She mumbles.

Again, there's as silence, until Reyna tumbled into the room and sat beside Ross.

"They're about to announce your scores from your training!" She chirps, as she grabs the remote and turns on the large television.

The screen turns on, and Caeser Flickermen and Claudius Templesmith are in a studio with the faces of all the 70th hunger games tributes. Starting from District 1, the tributes picture gets put on screen and they give the scores out of 12. The boy from District 1 is given a score of 9 and the girl is given a score of 10. When it gets to District 4, Ross's picture is put upon the screen with the number 8 next to it. Ross sits back in shock and Finnick and Reyna congratulate him.

"Marvellous! That's a good score to work with my dear" Reyna says as she pats his back.

Then, Annie's picture flashes into the screen, with the number 6 next to it. Annie sits back with a small grin on her face.
