A little chilled to the bone. (Sans x Reader)

DETERMINATION.

You felt a mix of happiness and dissapointment flush you as you looked up to see the silly face of papyrus. "ITS A HUMAN! HUMAN! HEY, LOOK AT ME!" You smile slightly, saving at papyrus from the bridge.

You felt sadness twinge in your heart, forcing its way in. Is this how sans felt every time you reset? Sad and Alone, knowing that nobody would remember the things he did or the friendships he made before that set date. Yet he would be the only one to suffer it.

What if he didn't remember this time? You would have to bare with him not returning your feelings. The thought made you sick, and brought to life a new idea. What if sans didn't exist on this time line.

You felt rears push at your eyes, but forced them away as papyrus neared you. He struck a pose as you would expect, flailing his arm to the side. "I, THE GREAT PAPYRUS, AM SO EXITED TO MEET YOU!" He reached over and took your hands into his own. "BUT SADLY, HUMAN. I MUST CAPTURE YOU.. SEE, IT IS THE ONLY WAY FOR ME TO BECOME HEAD OF THE ROYAL GUARD!"

you frowned, not wanting to be out through the trails you passed by when sans brought you to town.. They all seemed to hard. You spread your arms out, grinning, "okay, papyrus, I'll let you capture me!"

He put kids arms around you, picking up like a little child. But.. You didn't mind. You were already very tired, so you took the opportunity to get some rest.

You awoke in a cage-- you remember it being in their garage, having visited it with San's for laughs. Your stomach was twisting, and you didn't know what to do. You were a total mess, and nothing seemed to work right.

Standing, you sighed, wobbling slightly on your shivering legs. You had forgotten on thing.

How cold it was in this damn place. You walked out of the garage- the bars being FAR to wide to conceal anybody, and made your way to the house. You were frustrated when the door wouldn't open, so decided to check grillbyz. If sans was anywhere, he'd be THERE.

You tried to push the door of the restraint open, but failed to even budge it. It was just tight as.. As... Something very very tight! (... COUGH)

sighing, you sat down on the steps and leaned back, watching the snow fall gently, and the lights around snowdin slowly turn dim, and shut off.

You pulled your arms through the sleeves of your sweater and cuddled up, feeling the cold stab your body as you attempted to sleep, eventually passing out against the door, your mouth open and face shoved into the collar of your sweater.

You awoke, your mouth dry. You didn't feel cold anymore, and upon raising up, you saw you were inside grillbyz. Grillby was cleaning a table off to the side of the soon, wiping it down with a cloth, that seemed surprising clean to be used to remove dust.

He gave you a wave, noticing that you were awake. "Grillby...?" You grumbled, causing him to stop his action, point st himself, and give a very confused tilt of the head. He must of been confused as to how you knew his name.

You could practically feel sans slapping you at the slip up. "That's your name.. Right?" You said quickly, coughing in a sleepy haze, "Did.. Did you bring me in."

You yawned, watching the flame nod his head. Remembering why you came in the first place, you started, "Sorry.. I wanted to ask you something, and.. Oh uh.. He he.." You scratched the back of your head, searching for words. "Do you know sans? His brother papyrus.. I met him uh.. I need to find sans."

Grillby simply shrugged, shaking his head and returning to wiping the table. You sent sure if he was saying he didn't know where sans was. Are he didn't know him.

You sighed, standing to leave, but were stopped. Grillby quickly scampered over, shaking a finger and making you sit back down. He quickly went into a back door and came out with a plate. It had a nice, round, moist pancake and some eggs. You looked up st him and gave a weak smile.

"I-I can't.. Its to much of a favour.." Grillby shook his head, pointing sternly at the food. You nodded, shyly beginning to eat.

After a while of talking, you sighed, glancing at him. "Uhm.. grillby? Can I talk to you?" He gave you a thumbs up, and you decided to continue, "Is it normal.. To remember things.. that haven't happened... Yet? Like.. It happened before.. But it yet."
He gave you a confused look, which you returned with a sigh.

"Its perfectly normal, (Y/N)"

You looked up, staring at the source of the brilliant voice.
