Trapped Across Time

((Those of you confused about the last chapters ending, don't worry, it was supposed to seem like it didn't fit. I must also apologize for large amount of errors in this book. Please bare with me, I'm writing these as night when I'm very sleepy, after all.))

You raised your eyesbrow at papyrus, even going as far as to stand up. "Papyrus.. What are you talking about?" Papyrus frowned at you, taking a step back. "Ca-calm down (Y/N).. Look.. Your going to call me silly.. Or crazy even.. But.." He sits down next to you on the couch, as you return to sitting down.

You looks at him and grab his hand comfortingly. "Papyrus.. Are you.. You can remember what happened before the reset, too?" He piped up, looking at you like you had just revealed the secret to happiness to him or something about equal to that. "Human.."

"OH, HUMAN! THE GREAT PAPYRUS IS NOT THE ONLY ONE?!I AM SO HAPPY! I-I... I THOUGH I WAS GOING 'A LITTLE KOOKOO IN THE COCONUT'!" You smiled softly as papyrus pulled you into a hug, squeezing you lightly like an old Teddy bear.

When he pulled away you brushed yourself off, suddenly very happy. "I'm also glad.. Papyrus... But I'm still confused.. Sans, you, and I.. we all remember.. and.. I think its Sans who reset the world.. That never happens."

"HUMAN. YOU INFER THIS HAPPENS ALOT?" You nod. "According to sans." You felt papyrus staring you down, making you a bit uncomfortable. "Papyrus... Are you okay?" You glanced up at him.

"Ahu-- YES. UH.. YES, PAPYRUS THE GREAT.. HE IS.. UH, FINE!" You chuckled, watching him stand in a flustered mess. You were curious to his actions, but didn't prym

"I SHALL NOW MAKE YOU SOME SPAGHETTI... Human.. Would you care to join Me?" You nodded, standing, and walking to the kitchen with him. You figured there was nothing else to do, so why not help?

You sprinkled the basil gently over the pot, giggling, "see, papyrus? You can use these plants I stead of glitter. It tasted better and.. Uh.. Its edible." Papyrus gasped, leaning over you to watch. "AMAZING, HUMAN! VERY GOOD... OF COURSE NOT AS GOOD AS THE GREAT PAPYRUS' METHODS..M of course.. It would be rude to not at least try your.. 'Natures glitter'. NYEH."

You handed the bottle of leaves to papyrus and stepped back. "Also, try turning the head down and letting it simmer." You watched as he did so, and turned to you, "LIKE THIS?"

"Perfect!" You beamed, giggling at his bubbly attitude. You had your eyes closed while you were smiling, but when you opened them, you swore it seemed like papyrus was staring at-- no.. THROUGH you.

"Papyrus...?" You asked quietly and cautiously, "are you okay?" Papyrus set the slices down, turning to you. "HUMAN! THE GREAT PAPYRUS... I MEAN.. I AM GLAD THAT YOU WOULD WORRY ABOUT ME... BUT IM FINE!" There was a brisk silence in the room, sheltered only by the sizzling of the water near the edges of the pot, and was only broken by papyrus' speaking quietly.

"No.. Human.. I can't keep hiding it. Even if you domt feel the same... Human.. I was, and still am, supposed to capture you.. But I can't bring myself to do it... I did something horrible... I met myself.. Fall in love with you... A human."

You felt your face turn red. "Papyrus..." He shook his head. "No, human, please... (Y/N).. Let me finish. I have fallen for you. But I know.. You would rather be with my brother.. My own bones.. It hurts but.. I-- I have accepted it.. I just hope you will be happy with my old lazy bones if a brother!"

Swallowing down the tears you felt forming in your throat, you reached out hugging onto the bottom of papyrus' chest. He was a bit taken back by the action, but ended up pulling you close.

You stayed like that for a moment. "Papyrus' I'm sorry.. Have I been hurting you?" You sniffled. You felt him shake his head. "No.. I am fine... (Y/N)."

You smiled, raising your head at the sound of footsteps headed towards the two of you. "Hey, (Y/N).. Pap' I'm ho--"

You sniffles, waving at the short skeleton, smiling crookedly at him, as you were still being held by papyrus. "Hey sans.. Welcome home."
