A little chilled to the bone. (Sans x Reader)

Sans day off

You woke up feeling something move around you, holding your hoy close. You brought your hand so, feeling for what it is. Your hands rested on cold, boney fingers which you tugged around your neck with a smile. Snuggling you to sans, you felt as his breath steadied, and he feel asleep.

You didn't want to disturb his sleep, but you knew if you didn't make a move soon, you would end up waisting the day. Raising his arms above your head you sat up, quietly raising from the couch and making sure sans remained asleep as you quietly walked towards the kitchen.

Realizing you had actually woken up pretty early, you peaked your head in, surprised the light was on- did you accidently leave it on? You spotted papyrus in the kitchen, giving him a smile, and waving shyly. He smiled back at you, returning the gesture. "(Y/N)! How are you, human!"

You were a bit surprised at papyrus' hushed tone, but figured he was doing it to not wake up sans. He beckoned you oven, placing a smooth, white egg on your hand. "Human.. I wanted to cook something nice for my brother.. But.. I can't seem to open the Egg."

You chuckled, lightly cracking the egg against the sink and letting to yolk drip into the pan, which hissed lightly as you when it flooded onto it. "Hey, why yah doing that, papyrus? I thought it wasn't your thing to fix anything but speghetti?"

"Well.." He brought his hand to the back of his neck, scratching it lightly. "I.. Uhm.. I'm kind of making Sans stay home today and relax.. He's been working himself too hard lately.. And.. Well I noticed he hasn't been getting much sleep.. If any!"

You felt guilt fill your chest, frowning. Seeing you do this, papyrus immediatly places his hands on your shoulders, talking quickly, but still quietly. "Human.. D-do not fret! Think of it as a... A vacation! Yes, a vacation!I the great papyrus will see that you and sans have the most carefree day possible! That, human, is just how cool of a brother I am!"

You smiled softly, nodding. "Alright papyrus." You looked up st him, the kindness and dedication papyrus held for his brother.. It filled you deeply with determination.

Papyrus let go of you and quickly turned around, making a weirs.. groaning sound. "Human.. I think the egg.. It..." Your eyes widened, looking at the sizzling brown pile of goop forming in the pan.

You rushed over, attempting to solve this odd dilemma.

You placed the plates on the table, with a sigh of relief. "That almost went really horrible, eeh, papyrus?" You chuckled, glancing back at him. "YES HUMAN! IT DID!" You smiled softly, scooting the plate ment for sans to the side a bit. He was still asleep, and you and papyrus weren't sure if you should let him sleep, or wake him up to eat with you.

Gasping, you snapped your figers, slipping out of the seat and snatching up sans plate. Papyrus tilted his head at you, giving a small, confused 'nyeh'. You grinned, walking into the living room, "Sans, he can just have breakfast in bed!"

You gently nudged Sans, until he groaned softly, mumbling happy things in his sleep. You bugged him again, causing him to raise up and look at you curiously. You handed the plate of food into his hands, earning a raised eyebrow. Grinning at him, you giggled softly, "Saaaans! Papyrus said you were taking the day off, so I made you breakfasts in bed! There's a couple of eggs- not burnt" you glared at papyrus, "- some.. Erh.. Bacon? And toast with crabapple jam!"

Sans smiled at you softly, "wow.. Thanks (Y/N)... Pap.. That's so.. Nice." You grinned happily. "And, sans! You can go to sleep when you finish, I'm sure your tired, right?"

Sans shrugged, chewing softly on the price of toast in between his teeth. You smiled, sighing as you waited for sans to finish his food.

You chuckled, you hand entwined with sans. You and Sans had borrowed one of alphys "human Discs", which really, was just anime. Even if it was hard to stay attentive to the show, you were enjoying setting with Dan's, laying on his shoulder and taking in the nice smell he always carried around.

You had noticed what sans smelled like earlier, but didn't really take note of it. He had a very soft, yet strong scent to most his things that reminded you of home. You felt yourself getting nostalgic, and shook your head.

Feeling sans hand being removes from your own, you looked up at sans, who had a slight frown on his face, and a raised eyebrow. "(Y/N), what your think about? Your doing it again, where you just Space out into thought."

You shrugged. "Ahh, nothing." Sans frowned now, his eyebrow reaching higher on his skull, "(Y/N)~ sorry, but you can't lie to me. I just wanna know what's wrong." You sighed. "Just feeling pretty nostalgic. Reminded of the surface.. Plus.. Sans, I can't help but think of asgore.. He has to know I'm here right..." You looked up at sans, feeling your eyes start to burn. "Is asgore going to kill me.. Sans?"

You swallowed down a pit of sadness in your throat, looking up with huge eyes. Sans returned to stare, his eyelight as big as moons. It seemed like he had never considered this, or thought about it.. But.. You couldn't help but worry about this.. You didn't want things to end.. Not now.

Sans took you into a huge embrace, hugging you tightly against him, his body shaking ever so slightly.. It caught you off guard. "(Y/N).. Stop thinking about those things... None if it is going to happen. Nothing will take you from me..."

AHHHSHSHS. Okay so I'm sorry this is short, rushed, and late. I was sick today. Imma spend tonight fixing all the errors in the other chapters. The next chapter will be called "And that was it." So ignore the notifications for any other chapters. Byeeeee~
