-Eunji POV-

My parents of course insisted Jongsuk and I stay for dinner so we gladly did so.

The atmosphere was a bit off for me.

Not sure from what though, is it because of what happened today or..

Is it Taehyung?

Sigh.

He needs to stay away, it's obvious there's no cure to our relationship.

I should've known.

Gosh I'm so dumb, yet I still feel pain.

I still can't ignore what I feel for him, but what I saw today scarred me..

Whoever that was, that wasn't Taehyung.

Dad: So how's the business going?

He asked Jongsuk

My boyfriend swallowed and wiped his mouth with a napkin before he answered.

Jongsuk: It's going great, we're making good income, right babe?

I smiled, "Right.."

Mom: Well that's great, is it stressful running that kind of business though?

"Well of course it is, mom." I said and fed my son, "I'm a waitress and sometimes I have to serve 5 tables all at once."

Dad: That's absurd, what does Jongsuk do?

Jongsuk: Ahem. I attend the front counter, you know, where I escort the customers to their seats.

Mom: That isn't hard at all, why don't you let my daughter do that?

"Mother." I said seriously, gazing over her to not be rude.

Mom: What?

I rolled my eyes and fed Taejoon who was mumbling baby language.

Jongsuk: Haha no mam, I know it may sound easy but, it's not, in fact it's rather difficult when theres no tables available and you got over 30 people waiting.

Mom: Ohh.. never mind then.

I thought so.

Dad: How many customers do you usually attend?

"We're open from 7am to 9pm, so I'd say maybe a little over nine hundred?"

Mom: Wow!

Taejoon giggled, I smiled at my baby.

Dad: That's impressive, but for sure, you deal with all sorts of dilemmas?

Jongsuk and I exchanged looks.

There was a major dilemma today..

Involving someone I once dearly cared about ..and most likely still do but I'm tryna isolate myself from him.

Mom: Honey? Is there something you want to say?

Jongsuk: Actually-

"No." I stopped him, "Nothing at all, we're fine." I said awkwardly and finished feeding my baby.

My dad didn't seem convinced but he didn't instigate anymore.

Mom: How's Taehyung?

Why does she always have to bring him up? She never bought him up in the beginning but since everything that's happened, she gets annoying.

Jongsuk lowered his eyes.
