My Guilty Pleasure

I found myself dressed in white as I walked through a meadow, it was odd yet peaceful at the same time. The wind blew through my hair and the sun warmed my body.

Suddenly, I heard little kids laughing, I turned my head and saw a girl and boy. Around 4 years old probably. I smiled at how cute they were interacting, it almost reminded me of Taehyung and I, when we were that young running through these meadows.

Then I realized, it WAS us.

Huh?

I'm dreaming...

I must be?

"Taehyung wait!" I called out to him.

Wow, I sound so little. Like a chipmunk.

"Hurry Eunji!" He giggled, "Let's catch the dragonflies ^-^!" He cheered and ran faster up the hill.

My breathing grew heavy as I slowdown, "Tae...wait.."

Asthma was always my problem when I was younger, but I don't suffer from it anymore, and thankfully Taejoon didn't inherit it.

He stopped running to see if I was close, his eyes widen when he saw me on the ground trying to catch my breath, "Eunji!"

Taehyung has always watched out for me.

He came back for me and helped me to my feet, "Are you ok?"

"Yeah.. I am now." I said and looked at him.

He smiled and held my hand, "We can just walk there."

I smiled and watched them.

Taehyung didn't let go of my hand until we were high enough and started chasing after the dragonflies.

That whole day was fun until we had to go back to our barns.

"I'll see you tomorrow, Eunji." He smiled.

"Ok!" I agreed, "Same time?"

"Same time~"

We giggled as we parted ways.

Who knew that was the last of our childhood.

The next morning I went to look for Taehyung but unfortunately, he was gone.

"Tae..?"

My heart ached as I watched my four year old self look so confused and wonder what was going on.

"He's gone now~" someone said.

I looked up at the empty staircase and spotted Yuri.

I gasped, "Yuri!"

She chuckled, "Yeah. It's me, missed me?"

My four year old self remained staring into the empty barn.

"This a dream.. wake up! Wake up!" I told my 4 year old self.

I didn't move, I simply just stood there.

Yuri started walking down the stairs slowly, "She can't here you, this is a dream, bitch." She said.

"You can't hurt me anymore!" I screeched.

She laughed as everything started to burn into flames.

I screamed as a harsh wind threw me harshly to the ground.

My eyes widen in fear, the barn was on fire.

Yuri came out of it, "Watch yourself or you'll get burned." She told me and smiled.

My breathing grew heavy, "Leave me alone!"

"Gladly~" she giggled and towered over me, "Until I get my revenge."
