~~Christmas Day~~
This morning was amazing. I loved watching Addy open her gifts. Each and everytime her face would light up. It melted my heart and I know it melted Dads too. I'd given Dad a trip to South Africa. I'd loved it there so much and I knew he'd love it too. I thought it'd be a great family vacation for us in the summer. We were winter people so the coldness wouldn't effect us!
Right now, Dad and Addy were on their way to Grandma and Grandpas house for Christmas dinner. I chose to go seperately so I could get a bit of nap in but now I was in the car and on my way. The drive was only about 20 minutes. I had Ed Sheeran blasting through my speakers and I was singing at the top of my lungs like I loved to do. I'd finally reache Mt. Vernon where they lived and stoped at the intersection just before town square. I stepped on my breaks, but I kept sliding. There's been a bad storm that'd lasted from last night until now. I kept stepping on my break but I wouldn't stop. I heard a large horn, that of a large truck and BOOM.
~~TOMS POV~~
FOOD! I loved food. That was my favorite thing about Christmas. I'd eaten so much food today, it was now midnight and I was still eating. My family and I had a nice Christmas with my Gram and Gramps. I was so happy to have made up with them. I meant everyword of which I wrote to Joules. I wanted to get better, for her. I wanted to be with her but in no way would I let myself be with her the way I am right now.
I was sitting on the couch playing Mario Kart with William when my phone started buzzing. That was odd, it said Michael was calling me. I answered. "Hello?"
"Tom?" he sounded frnatic.
"Yeah, what's wrong."
"It's Joules." I could hear his voice shaking and my heart dropped. I knew something was seriously wrong.
"What happened?" I asked. My voice shaking now.
"She was....She was in an accident Tom, it's bad Tom. It's really bad." He started to cry.
"How bad?"
"She might not make it Tom. Tom, we can't lose her." he cried.
"Michael. I'll be on the next flight out." I told him getting up and running to find my Mum. "Hold on a second Michael." I ran up to Mums room and opened the door. She woke from her sleep. "Mum, Joules has been in an accident. I have to get to her."
"What? Alright. You need to pack, I'll call the airlines and get you a flight out as soon as I can." she sadi a bit scattered.
"Thank Mum." I ran into my room.
"Michael where's she at?" I asked.
"They have her in COlumbus now. But once they stabalize her they're sending her up to the Cleveland Clinic." he huffed trying to catch his breath.
"Michael. I need you to take a deep breath with me. In through your nose out through your mouth." I told him and then did it along ith him. "That's it just keep doing it." I coached, still packing my bags.
Once I was done I dragged it down the stairs into the kitchen. "The tickets are booked. You need to be there within the hour come on." she said grabbing the keys to our van and heading to the door.
"Michael I'm on my way to the airport now. Stay calm and text me if anything happens. I'll call you when I'm going to land at the airport."
"Okay, just hurry Tom." he pleaded.
"I'm coming as fast as I can. I'll talk to you in a little while." I assured him. I hung up the phone and Mom drove as fast as she could. We arrived at the airport and I gave her a hug before hopping out and grabbing my luggage.
