Surprises.

TOMS POV

The door opened, but no one was there. That's what I thought at least until I heard Addy yell "TOM!" and she wrapped her arms around my legs.

"Hey there Addy!" I laughed. I picked her up to give her a better hug.

"What are you doing here?" she asked.

"I came to see your sister." I smiled.

"Are you two going to kiss again?" she asked.

I looked at her surprised. "I don't know." I laughed.

"Addy I told you don't answer the door without Dad or m... Uhhhhh" she stopped at the bottom of the steps.

"Sissy look who'd here!!" Addy said excitedly.

"I see. Ad why don't you go pick out what you want for dinner while I talk to Tom and then i'll come make it for you."

"Okay." she smiled and I set her down. She looked back up at me. "Tom will you play dollys with me when you're done?" she asked.

"Of course!" I assured her before she skipped off into the house.

"Can I aske what you're doing here? I thought I made it clear over the phone that our fling was over."

"I know what you said but I wanted to tell you in person. I meant everything I said. I know that you don't want a relationship that's long distance but joules i'm serious. I can't lose you in my life Joules."

"Tom. I don't know what to say." she stuttered.

"Just say you'll be my friend. Say that you'll give me a chance."

"I will if you swear on your Fathers grave that you did not cheat on me."

I know swearing on his grave is an awful thing to do. But I did not cheat on her. "I swear." I spoke.

"Alright. We can see how this goes. Now would you like to come in?" She asked.

"I'd love to." I smiled.

~~Michaels POV~~

As much as I was loving being grilled by Ryan nonstop about liking Joules I chose, instead to ditch him in California (not that he was upset. He was a self proclaimed "ladies man" pretty sure it was 80% Olympic medals 20% looks and personality) and fly to Ohio for a few days to spend sometime with my BFF. And besides Addy had wanted me to teach her how to swim. She said to me that I had to and I asked why she wouldn't let Joules, her response was "Joules only jumps into pools silly". Joules and I both got a good laugh out of that one.

I hopped into my rental car and sped off on highway towards Joules house. I got there in record time. 25 minutes and I didn't go more than 30 over the speed limit. I was quit proud of myself. I pulled into Apple Valley and wound through the windy streets and got to her house before it was completely dark out. I parked in her driveway and sat for a second thinking about the last time i'd been here.

It was right after Joules Mom had died. I'd known her for about a year and a half at that point but we'd hit it off great and she really opened up to me. But one night while I was in Baltimore hanging out with chmitty I got a call from Joules and she was balling her eyes out. She told me what had happened and I told her I would be on the next flight out to Ohio and I took a week off from training and I just stayed with her while she cried her eyes out and I tried my best when she insisted on quitting diving until her father and I had a sit down with her and told her that her Mom would never want her to give up the sport. And that's when she really kicked it into gear and the 2 of us flew back to Baltimore and we trained our asses off for these Olympics and we can all see how they turned out!
