Emily's POV

I sit in the car, oh boy, was that dinner heavy or not?

My phone buzzes. Really?

I grab my phone, 'Mandy.' Why is she calling me right now?

"Hello?"

"Hi, Emily, have you found your sister yet?" she asks.

"No,"

"Okay, please tell me you're coming for the examination."

"Yes, I am."

"Where the heck are you? One week and one month till the exams!" she says.

"Okay, relax, I'll be there in a week. Bye?" I tell her. The line goes dead.

"One week?! We won't be able to find her so quickly!" he screams. "Be positive, okay?" I say and begin driving.

Half an hour has passed. I'm so bored. Ethan's asleep. In the front, I see a large crowd. I pull over on the side of the highway and get off.

I walk into the crowd and see a car, upside down. Nobody is coming forward to help. What are they doing?

I peep through one of the windows. No one is there, thank god.

I feel a hand on my shoulder, "Kid, you gotta get out of here! Fast!" then he screams to the others, "Get out of here! Off this highway! NOW!"

Everybody is rushing into their cars' and driving off. What is so scary?

I get up, Ethan's watching me, creepily, if I might add.

I walk towards my car, but suddenly, I hear a blast...

Ethan's POV

I wake up thanks to someone screaming, way too loud.

I see Emily near a car which is upside down. She gets up to come to our car. But then, I hear a loud blast and a flash occurs. When I open my eyes, smoke surrounds me. I see Emily lying on the road, inches away from me. Blood drips from her mouth. Oh no. The car freaking exploded!

I jump off the car and towards Emily. I get her to her feet. She's unconscious. I don't blame her, she was just ring-tossed away from the car.

Blood trickles down her neck, making the white t-shirt she's wearing, bloody. I look around, no one's here.

I carry Emily's limp body towards the car and drop her in the back seat. I put a cushion under her head, and remove an extra blanket from the back of the car. I wrap it around her.

I know every car has a first-aid kit, so I should get it out. From the dashboard, I remove the kit. Looks like Emily has over-packed it. But that's good.

I open it to see some idol cotton balls and I grab two, and wipe the blood off Emily's face.

I grab another one and I put antiseptic cream on it and apply it on the cuts on her face.

I quickly put crepe bandage on her arm, as it has one bad bruise. I'm doing whatever I can do, so she doesn't loose too much blood. Her leg has a deep cut, everytime I wipe it, it just increases. I remove one of my t-shirts and tie below her knee, to make the blood flow slow down.

I raise her leg and put it on the front seat, so it's elevated. I wait, for about an half an hour. No soul has come on this highway.

I decide to drive off to Trenton myself. With Emily safe in the back seat. I drive off to Trenton.
