I walk into my room, the scent of my room greeting me. I always loved this.
I set my bags down, and sit on my favorite chair. Swirling around in it, is fun.
How about, I just write down the ways on how to get to Olivia or even find her? First things first, I need to ask Mom. Then, I need to call Bookie. And that's how I'll sort it out.
I open up my email and see one from Bookie.
'Hey Em,
Olivia or "Tess" has booked tickets back to this place, she'll be here on the 17th! She's going to stay at her friend's place, that Mill's girl.
Good Luck, gurl!'
I sit up in my chair, amazed. She's back. No one else knows. Oh, this is cheesy.
With my anger suddenly coming to a rise, I put my head down, trying to think otherwise.
"Hey," I hear a voice and jump up, I look up to see Ethan. I sigh and sit back down. "What happened?" he asks.
"Nothing," I say, trying to sound calming.
"Oh, don't play the nothing-" I cut him off.
"Nothing!" I say, raising my voice. He nods his head, slightly, still doubtful. I walk past him into the kitchen to find my mom sipping on green tea.
"Hey, sweetie, wanna have some tea with me? Dad's not here, so I have no company." My mom says, pleadingly.
This is my chance.
I slip down into the seat next to her.
"Mom, I have a question." I ask, sourness clear in my voice.
I hear her cup clanging against the granite counter. "What?" she asks. Obviously playing dumb.
"Mom, about Olivia. I know that you are hiding something..." I say.
"What?! No! I would never!" she says, her voice uncertain at the last three words.
I lose my shirt, I slam my fists into the counter.
"Mom, I know." I say, my voice deadly.
"What?" she asks.
"I know you are hiding something!" I scream. "Why won't you tell me! I know about Olivia! She is my younger sister!" I bark. I get up and go up the stairs without another word. I know Ethan heard the conversation.
I sit on my bed, wrapping my arms around myself.
"Want a hug?" I hear Ethan ask.
"Oh, shut up," I say, smiling.
"You're just screaming for one!" he grins.
"Just go-" I'm cut off, as Ethan takes me by surprise. He hugs me. Sorry, jumps on me.
I push him off, "Not now, Ethan. Just... when I tell you to leave me alone, leave me?"
I go to my backyard, sitting on my good old trampoline.
Before I know it, I wake up in my bed. It's morning.
Was that an effing dream? I hope so. I look at my clothes are realize. No, it wasn't. I walk to my bathroom, my whole face looks drained. Well, I do feel the same. I know someone got me back to the room, I don't care, actually, because I know it must be Ethan. Can't there be like a bus that can hit me ten times?
I quickly get ready for the day. I switch on my phone to a lot of messages from a lot of people.
'Investigate 101,
Emily, come at my place at around noon. Investigate about "Tess", okay?'
I sigh at the e-mail from Bookie. She really loves investigating and doing active things so much. It suddenly, strikes me, what the heck is the time? In a swift move, I look at the wall clock, suspiciously, '9 o' clock'. Crap.
I trudge along, and exit my room, and go for breakfast.
"Morning," I call out. No response, but a note on the counter, I pull it out and see it, my mom's note telling me she's in office. I crush it into a small paper ball and chuck it in the bin. I look around. Is Ethan still sleeping? I stay quiet for a while and I hear silent snores coming. I nod my head, "Has to be."
I begin deciding what I could have. I'm quite bushed out and exhausted at the same time. And I have a bad feeling that this will plague me all day. I forcefully open the refrigerator, taking some yogurt out. I take some strawberries, and I chop them up, mixing it in the vanilla yogurt. Voila!
And, I can have it without anyone on my heels.
I quickly eat it, and throw myself upright, doing a stretch. I clean up, as quick as possible. I go to Ethan's room and knock on it once.
"Sleeping beauty, time to get up!" I say sarcastically, faking a tone. I hear grunts from the room, I grin, plan successful. I go to my room, taking my small, handy backpack along. I burst into Ethan's room, shocking him. "Going to Bookie's place, don't mind. Will be back my one?" I say. He gives me a look and nods.
He doesn't have to 'approve' me. God, he's annoying.
I shake my head and fill it with happy thoughts.

I step out from my car, and frown at the apartment in front of my eyes.
Did Bookie shift? It has to be.
I go to her place.
I ring the bell, and patiently tap my foot on the marble floor.
The door creaks open, with an overly excited looking Bookie. As if she had ten energy drinks, already.
"HELLO!" She screams out in joy.
"Too loud much?" I ask, grinning and putting a finger to my ear, mocking her.
"Hmm...'Kay," she says cheerfully. God, what did she eat?
"I got some fantastic new for ya, girl." She continues. "Something big is going to happen, tonight. Like a party or so? I was thinking we could go undercover and all..."
I let Bookie continue her 'fantasy' plan. Party, huh? What for?
