You're Next

Chapter 13

As quick as possible, I rush upstairs with the axe and screwdrivers and the knife and make wake with screams to draw the assassins here. The stairs are empty and so is the corridor of bedrooms. I then come to the corridor where Tiger Mask first appeared and grabbed my hair and the still broken window. There I wait silently, always at the ready. Time passes slowly, but within ten minutes a sign of attack appears.

Screams and screams and then up ahead is Elizabeth and Felix running towards me with the gold club and hammer.
"Where did you get that!!" Felix yells.
"No time!" I say urgently. Then around the corner comes the welcoming committee. Felix leaps down followed by Elizabeth and the meat knife in my hand flies through the air, but the pursing animals evade the blade. Rabbit Mask was the fastest and her crossbow is rapidly aimed forwards with an arrow loaded.
"This way," I say running quickly to the stairwell leading to the foyer. The arrow flies as we all reach the stairs and we land safely as we leap, but Elizabeth doesn't recover as quick. The arrow has lodged itself into her leg just above her ankle.

"Liz!" Felix shrieks running down to her. "Unconscious!" he tells me. As fast as possible the Bear travels round us with his sledgehammer and aims it at my skull. There's other way down, I throw the axe over the banister and throw myself down the stairs avoiding the blow. It's hurts so much but as long as I'm alive, that's the main thing.
"Erin?" Felix gasps as Bear Mask approaches.
"Drag her!" I yell and he does so. My head spins as I do so, a steam of blood in the same of Elizabeth. Bear Mask still makes his mark through. The hammer flies through the air with the assasins holding the hilt and the hammer lands squarely at Felix's temple. He was dead before he hit the floor.
