I'm the only one left.
Everyone is dead because of these assassins and now I will keep I'll them. A door at the other end of the door creaks open, and as fast as possible, I sprint painfully back down to the basement and wait behind a plastic sheet hanging from the ceiling, the white flash of the camera the only source of light going off every 7 seconds.
Then down he comes. Bear Mask.
¹ 2.... Someone following you.
3 4.... Don't open the door.
5 6 done leave the room.
7 8 no time to waste.
9 10....... Time to kill again.
I chant that over in my head drawing him closer and closer until I reach the final part and brutally knock him down with my foot supported by the log of firewood in my hand. While he's down I don't hesitate to begin bashing his skull with the log, blood squelching everywhere over the floor until eventually, I know that he's dead when the screaming stops.
I swallow quickly telling bile rise in my throat. I did it. But there's still the lethal leader, Fox Mask and the silent but deadly Rabbit Mask.
I go back up stairs. "COME AND GET ME YOU MURDERERS!!!!" I scream at the top of my lungs taking residence in the kitchen. The pan of chili is still cold. I can use that. I can use more knives and pots and pans, or I could break a glass and stab the remaining killers with the shares, but there's no time to think.
Rabbit Mask walks into the kitchen, the crossbow ready to kill anyone in sight. As fast as possible, I tackle her knocking the bow out of her hands and keep her in a headlock. Fox Mask isn't that far behind, with his machete at the ready.
"Fuck!!" he gasps hardly. My hand reaches for the pan of chili and I throw it over him. "It's not even hot you dumb bit..." he says about to swear, but slips on the chili on the floor.
Without noticing, Rabbit Mask has removed her Mask to show her mouth, and sinks her teeth into my hand causing me to cry out in pain.
In anger, I knock Rabbit Mask down by hitting her over the head with the pan. Fox Mask recovers and I end up kicking the door really hard into his face, creating a crack up the mask. But behind me, Rabbit Mask makes her jump and locks her arms around my neck, but luckily, my hands are able enough to yank her hair and turn the tables as my fingers lock around her throat.
Then the most painful thing I've had through this traumatising experience is when Fox Mask lunges and impale my should with a sharp kitchen knife.
I decide not to focus on Elizabeth anymore or Fox Mask will kill me so I throw her down and kick him in the shin. I then go and reach for some kind of useful item to use as a weapon. It just happens to be a blender with a glass jug and a wire and plug. Thankfully, a blender has razor blades.
I smash the glass jug over Fox Mask's head before he can try and kill me again. Blood drips lightly over his Mask from the side of his head. He falls to the ground still living. I then swing my arms back and put the blender on top of his head, the razor blades impaling the top of his head send more blood over his mask, still clinging onto life. I then reach for the plug, plug it in, switch it on by the socket and press the button that sends to blades spinning.
Blood pours and sprays everywhere including over me, where my breathing has practically been blown out of me. Eventually the shrieks of pain stop meaning that he's dead, so I unplug the blender.
Rabbit Mask just about sits up still coughing, fighting for the breath I briefly pounded out of her. I have no weapons now, all of my screwdrivers are scattered over the kitchen floor due to the initial struggle. But wait a minute. I do have a weapon.
I throw my right hand back and yank the knife out of my flesh, spin it in my hand and stab the top of Rabbit Mask's head send blood dripping down her Mask and skin.
Then the fight goes out of me. I vomit in the sink and collapse to the ground between two dead bodies. I'm now the only living person in the house.
Suddenly, a phone rings. It's coming from the jacket of Fox Mask's jacket. I answer it and listen to someone on the phone.
He talks about how he doesn't do violence, asking if everyone but Erin is dead yet, asking if he can come back in now, while my heart snaps in half.
The caller is Christian.
