The goddess of all gods

Chapter 5

I started circling the monster using my smarts(does any one say that?) to look for week spots. In my head I was going over a dozen plans but none would work and I knew that. I was just going to have to wing it.

The hydra turned around so it faced me, it pulled back it's heads and striked at me but I dodged and rolled out of the way only to be intersected again by one head. Ok know I was officially getting annoyed I sliced through the head and then I remembered something from English Class at school, when learning about the Greeks 'never cut a Hydras head off or two more will grow back in it's place angrier then ever'. So I did a back flip over the monster and started to run out of the air port towards  the nearest plane. When I got to the plane I jumped on and asked a kind old man for a lighter, but he just started mumbling things about how this new generation was horrible and then he hit me on the head with his pillow. I left quickly after and came across a teenage boy with headphones on, I asked him.

"Why do you need my lighter",he asked. "You wouldn't understand", I told him because he wouldn't. "Try me", he said smirking. So I explained everything to him, I was expecting some kind of surprised expression or at least a 'your joking'. But all he did was get off the plane with me trailing behind him.  He told me," I'm a demigod too, son of Ares, I'm James." I must have looked shocked at the least because he started to laugh at me. "Hi, I'm Kendall but I'm not sure who my parents are yet... I'm one my way to camp." He just said "huh". When we got back to the hydra it was chaos, humans were trying to fight whatever they saw I'm pretty sure they saw a giant octopus though. I ran up to it with James by my side and together we defeated it, then I asked. "Can you take me to camp." "Sure", was all he said with a smile on his face. Right then I knew I had just made a new friend, and maybe something more.
